All fan bases are like that IMO. You win and the jerks show up.

I have never liked Oregon. I don't like gimmick offenses. They are not reliable against teams that run NFL style defenses.

They are fun to watch, kind of like my old Tech teams. But you're right, they're gimmicky..and doesn't hold up against SEC defenses.

I loved those Leach teams. That Nov 1 game was one of the best things of all time. I hated both Texas and TAMU growing up, so I latched on to Leach when Kliff was their QB. I loved watching them fling that ball around, but yeah they never did anything with all that offensive talent, sadly.

That was cool of Verne to mention his alma mater like that on the air. TLU plays in Mary Hardin-Baylor's conference, so I know that school real well.

It's amazing I survived those years. Every game was like a heart attack waiting to happen. That Texas game is probably my all time #1 sports moment. That and the Rangers beating the Yankees in the 2010 ALCS...
