Oh yeah, forgot to list Trainspotting. Awesome soundtrack
I'm from Minnesota, so I'm going to have to go with Purple Rain.
I agree. From a musical talent standpoint Prince is in a class of his own. He can play so many instruments. He's written not only great songs for himself, but a number of other musical acts.
When We Were Kings. Documentary about the Rumble in the Jungle.
Soundtrack includes live performances by BB King and James Brown among others. Great movie too.
no particular order
Streets of Fire
Top Gun
Cat People
Almost Famous
Eddie and the Cruisers
Stand by Me
Purple Rain (Probably #1)
Xanadu is cool....it's ELO for crying out loud...
That's a Michael Pare Aka (Eddie Wilson): Diane Lane flick right?
The soundtrack everybody HATES to LOVE
Did somebody say my name?
I liked Blood Diamond as well (someone said it on the first page), but I tend to go more for soundtracks that are composed rather than the mixed tape approach. Empire of the Sun might be my favorite. A lot of people probably haven't seen it, but if you like history/war movies, it's pretty tops.
