I don't hate Rush. I like some of their stuff but am generally "meh" to them. i respect the hell out of them. They are talented as fuck, but damn do I like "The Guess Who".

Rush is a great band....I've seen them 3 times in concert...another great Canadian band I actually saw was Triumph...I would like to nominate The Band...and any band that Neil Young has ever been a part of...

Guess Who gets my vote, although April Wine was pretty big in the 70s as well.

Red Rider (and later Tom Cochrane and Red Rider) are also a favourite of mine.

Holy shit, you know what I heard?
I heard that dude bought his first real 6 string at a friggin' 5 and dime.
no f'n way.
Played it till his fingers bled too.
Which would be indicative of 10 minutes playing a guitar of the quality that can be bought at a 5 and dime, so the story holds water.
