OT: 2025 Summer Binge Watch Shows

I believe it's the one Rich Hammond used to run but he doesn't tow the Kings company line so he was ousted and Jon Rosen took over. Same guy we see sometimes on telecasts with Bathe or maybe on his own but not too often on TV.

It's been around forever but beware, tons of optometry shops selling rose colored glasses.

Well, Mobland season finale was today and it was good, looking forward to S2 but who knows when that will come out.

Also finished The Last of Us last week, but is a cliff hanger and we won't know what's going on until S3. They went two years between seasons, hope it doesn't take that long this time.

TWD Dead City S2 is in full swing, I forgot about that one. S1 wasn't bad, I'll have to catch up on this one since I've already missed a few episodes. The Daryl Dixon spinoff was a bit weird (it's in France and not the US) but good too.

In the middle of S5 of Ray Donovan, have to say this is a really good series.

And this is what happens, I've been trying to watch S2E2 of TWD Dead City for 3 days now. Either something comes up, I fall asleep, whatever and then I have to start it all over again. Should take me 8 months to get through 10 episodes or whatever.

WTF why are we on the same schedule with just about everything. I also just finished The Last of US and started on season 1 of Dead City.
I'm one of those people that has a full survivor gear in the truck at all times. I mean anything you need to survive for 72 hours including fire making material, multiple knives, flashlights you name it. Bring on the apocalypse I'm ready.

I'm with you my man, I have two Go Bags in the truck and a full arsenal in the safe ready to go in seconds. Big outdoorsman, don't think I'd have an issue during an apocalypse. I'm not a Doomsday guy but I certainly know I'll be prepared. Would love an underground shelter though, that would be awesome. Even with my ex the rule is if shit hits the fan get the kids and get over here, this place is about to become a fortress.

You'll like Dead City, I tried to get into the Rick one and I just couldn't. I'll try again some other time - took me three tries to get into Mayans - but I think midway through TWD Rick's character kind of waned. To me S1 and S2 of TWD were the best.

Junior I was born the night before the series premiere in October 2010, I'll never forget I was in the hospital sitting in the ultra uncomfortable fold out dad chair and the TV flashed TWD premieres tomorrow (10/31/10) and I was like WTF is this nonsense but I ended up liking it overall. These spinoffs though, they're hit or miss.

I watched platform 2, i think 1st was better as I recall. Have a hard time with shows as they have to do stupid shit all the time...just cant stand it. Im as prepared as anyone for most stuff. Dont think im that crazy, but Im not waiting to be saved no matter what happens....

I never played the video game so I have no idea what's happening. I was clued in accidently what should happen but I won't spoil anything.
Overall this season was much slower than the season 1. Went back in time to build characters a bit too much. That's one of the reason I like House Of Dragons. They don't fuck around and jump ahead 10 years like it's nothing.

Had not heard of Platform till now but looks interesting. Have to check it out for sure.

BTW if you guys haven't seen the Reacher Series on Amazon it's worth a look also. Kinda cheesy at times but liked it. Season 1 is good. If you liked the movies with Tom Cruse you'll enjoy the show.

Platform 2 was actually the prequel which I figured out about halfway through. Both those movies are a trip. I don't do drugs at all and still felt like I was on LSD.

Another weird one I liked was District 9, they were supposed to have a sequel but it never happened although I see articles now and again saying it will. Then again it took like 40 years for Beetlejuice 2 to come out so who knows.

And I agree, pays to be prepared rather than wait. That ain't happening. I already have a list of people who will be welcome and those who won't be. So sorry...you're on your own haha.

I watched the first season but life happened and I stopped. It was good though and yeah definitely campy. That dude has to be the worst actor ever but then I wonder if he's being the worst actor ever on purpose to mess with us.

Did enjoy the Tom Cruise movies, those were good. Speaking of him I want to see the new Mission Impossible movie out this weekend, maybe I'll torture the kids and drag them with me. Payback for driving the Suburban and having to listen to The Book of Life, The Lorax and whatever else all those years when they were toddlers and kids. Screw you my little jobless roommates.

I'll need to watch the MI franchise in order though, I believe they are all connected and I've watched them out of order so I have no idea what is going on.

Speaking.of trippy movies, Memento. I had to watch that one three or four times until I finally got it.

My daughter has been staying with me from AZ, tonight all four kids were home together which doesnt happen that often anymore since she's almost 20.

I made sausage and pasta and veggies for dinner and said hey let's all have a movie night. We got snacks, got settled in, my two dogs and three cats were with us, pops is feeling great.

Until we chose the movie, Malevolent. Good lord was this awful. It was so bad Junior II fell asleep on the dog, Junior I bailed midway and said I'm going.to bed, Ms Puck II was about 10 minutes behind him and Ms Puck I and I trolled the movie the entire time to the end. Even my pit fell asleep. Do not waste your time.

Only good thing was I had my greatest achievements with me and snacks.
