Blake Sims broke Alabama's passing record in 2014.
Was cut after 9 days in the CFL.
It helped he had one of the best receivers to come through college in awhile.

After the Crawford commitment yesterday, UM is currently ahead of OSU on every recruiting site except ESPN. the 247 Composite actually has us at 14 four star recruits. Certainly should be good enough for a top 5 finish. If we do nab Gary, the number one recruit on most sites, it should give us enough points to stay in the top 1-3.Well ESPN and 247 (which I think is the most accurate) has us ahead and like I said we only have 18 commits. #1 5 star could do wonders and put you up there but it would be pretty hard to pass us considering the rest of the recruits we get will be 4 stars and maybe 1 more 5 star possibly.

My guess is once teams get to the numbers that Michigan has, they will get passed by and finish in the 8-12 range. If I had to guess some combination of LSU, Ole Miss, Clemson, Ohio State and Bama will finish 1-5.
But I doubt all those teams are going to finish with a class size of 27/28 like Michigan is expected to. If everyone was expected to sign a large class like that you might have a point. But if Michigan nabs the #1 player in the country that should already put us in the point range to finish top 5, and we'd still have 2-3 spots left to fill.
Dirty little secret: When they rank classes, they only count the top 20 (on Rivals for sure, and on the others as well, I am pretty sure), so once you get past 20, unless #21 is better than one of your top 20, your class rank won't change. But I doubt all those teams are going to finish with a class size of 27/28 like Michigan is expected to. Over signing suggests that you don't have spots for the recruits you are signing.....But Michigan would never oversign Michigan fans have been claiming.
When I suggested Michigan was going to do exactly that a year ago, I was told multiple times by Michigan fans that it would never happen and I just didn't understand Michigan football.
That's not how they do it at all. The assign a point value to recruits. You can see the number of points your class has on every sight. Every additional recruit will add points to that value and the class rank is exactly that.Dirty little secret: When they rank classes, they only count the top 20 (on Rivals for sure, and on the others as well, I am pretty sure), so once you get past 20, unless #21 is better than one of your top 20, your class rank won't change.
I pay for the Rivals site and guarantee that is how it is done there, as explained by the guy who owns the Ohio State site. That's not how they do it at all. The assign a point value to recruits. scUM has what 24 schollies to TOSU 18. Look at the avg. I'd rather have quality vs quantity. The Buckeyes will have the better recruiting class after all said and done by NSD.After the Crawford commitment yesterday, UM is currently ahead of OSU on every recruiting site except ESPN. the 247 Composite actually has us at 14 four star recruits. No, over signing indicates that you do not have enough scholarship positions for the amount of kids you signed. Michigan has 27 spots to fill and plans to fill them. Then nobody has ever oversigned.

All of your recruits is belong to us now...
Who are the other two supposed 4* prospects that you guys are honing in on?That seems stupid. But it still doesn't hurt Michigan's chances of finishing in the top 2, especially with the top player in the class potentially committing to Michigan. Because according to that handy Chart Samurai just posted, Gary would get an extra 250 points just because of his #1 status.
In fact, I just took a gander at the current point totals. Michigan has 2273 points. With the commitment of Gary that would potentially shoot up to 2500+. (though I'm not sure if a player, say the 20th player counted) would be dropped first so you lose points and then gain 250? Either way, 2500+ points would put us in the top 8 of last year's rankings and that's just with the 1 commitment. It would have been top 6 of the 2014 rankings, top 7 of 2013....you get the point. And that's without 2 additional recruits, expected to both be 4 stars themselves. If we get Gary, I think it's unlikely we finish outside the top 8. If we get Gary + two more top 250 recruits, it's likely we finish in the top 5 and potentially top 2.

Then I'd say you guys are in good shape to finish with a top class. We have a few prospects left on the board: They include: five-star DT Rashan Gary, four-star CB David Long, four-star CB Lavert Hill, four-star ATH Jordan Fuller, four-star WDE Levi Onwuzurike, four-star WDE Connor Murphy, four-star TE Devin Asiasi, four-star DT/OL Boss Tagaloa, four-star ILB Dontavoius Jackson, and four-star TE Jacob Mathis.
We're likely going to get one of Long/Hill -- if not both. Lavert Hill has been favoring Michigan for a while and we've made a strong push on David Long.
