How can Oregon be fixed? Once the NCAA shut down their player buying and Mariota graduated, the predictable downward spiral started like clockwork.

Stanford is more fixable than Oregon. Their system isn't based on gimmicks. Their system is a proven winner. Stanford has better odds to turn it around next year than the Ducks. Ducks are washed for years to come. The PAC is vastly more competitive than it was 5 years ago when USC was getting hammered with sanctions and Washington was being coached by a drunk frat boy.

Ducks took advantage of a weak PAC so hats off for that. It was a nice little run, but the run is officially over. Window closed.

Washington fans cant think of the idea of Oregon getting back to the top. We beat those pups into the cellar for 12 straight years. They dnt wanna go back into the box.

Not trolling, it is just shocking that these teams can go down so fast, especially Stanford.

The Harbaugh/Andrew Luck effect has worn off. It's not like they were any good prior to them

Phils checkbook and Nike "involvement" in recruiting can only buy them so much when it comes to results on the field.

Their shitty academics is a two edge sword. They can stock the roster with athletically gifted tards who spell their name with an X which Kelly took full advantage of, but they won't be a top pick for 4* and 5* players looking for a degree that is worth more than toilet paper.

The NCAA sanctions shutdown their player buying which took away their main advantage to juice their roster and gain an advantage vs the rest of the PAC.

What your watching this year is the Ducks finally returning to true form.

With Phil and Nike, they won't be allowed to go back to doormat status, but they won't be top tier of the PAC either. 6 / 7 wins per season kind of program.

Um that's backwards!

How so?

Not sure that Stanford really cares all that much about football. Hell, their stadium is half full at best most Saturdays.

Oregon has a shit ton of interest and money.

Stanford is the easy fix, a QB. There young, and will be better next season, with of course a QB that can understand the distribution of the ball properly.

Really?

Shaw is a nobody. Stanford admission standards are off the charts. Basically, they don't recruit all that much nor do they RS or push out non-contributors.

Stick a fork in Stanford, they can't recover.

Oregon? They'll spend money, they'll hire a new coach and they'll recruit.

Plus its gonna cost Oregon to fire Helfrich 11 million !

If there going to change the staff at Oregon I would think nothing from the coaching tree that has already been at Oregon. Not saying Frost is a bad choice I'm saying scheme and style need to be changed for this program .

No offense, but I do know for a fact that Scott Frost would change your offense quite a bit if in charge at Oregon.

No offense, and for the record it ain't my offense, my offense can score and my defense actually plays defense! :pound:
