The Redskins on Wednesday claimed former Denver Broncos center J.D. Walton off of waivers and released wide receiver Lance Lewis, Mike Jones of the Washington Post reports.
A third-round pick out of Baylor in 2010, Walton started every game of his first two seasons, and the first four of his third season. But he broke an ankle and missed the remainder of the season. The 6-foot-3, 305-pound Walton, who played at Baylor with quarterback Robert Griffin III, hadn’t played a game this season and was released by Denver on Tuesday.
Time to make Robert feel comfy.
OK seriously though, aside from my snarky disposition at the moment, not a bad move if he can get that Ankle healthy.
