Saunders is not that bad, you lack perspective. The pool to choose the best players from is a pretty small one but the pool for favourites is enormous.
Michael Saunders had a career .701 OPS. He played in one of the most hitter-friendly eras in baseball history, and he finished with a career OPS two points above being in the .600s.

You can hide behind your "favourites" (Lol at you silly Canadians adding maple syrup and a "u" into everything), but truth is, Michael Saunders sucked more dick on the diamond than Elton John did after three vodka and tonics....

Oh yeah, forgot to add:wink:

Eh, that's not true. Offense was down considerably for a good chunk of Saunders' career.

American League Batting Year-by-Year Averages | Baseball-Reference.com

The league OPS was .764 and the league R/G was 4.82 when Saunders came up. By 2014, it was down to .706 and 4.18. It did rise back up to .753 and 4.71 during Saunders' final season. Saunders did hit respectably from 2012-16 (.249/.325/.435, 111 OPS+). Outside of that, he was pretty lousy.

My statement was an exaggeration, but 2014 appears to be an aberration. I don't feel like looking into it too deeply, and 2009-2017 is nowhere near the mid-90s through the mid-2000s, but it was a pretty damn good era to hit in. I would venture that every year from 2009-2017 outside of 2014 has a higher R/G than the median R/G in the AL (though I didn't look into it so this statement could be total BS:wink:).

But mainly, Dragon is a Canadian cocksucker so I just like picking on him and his shitty Jays.

I mostly love Krukkie in the booth, but he only played 302 games in left field (compared to 678 at 1B). I might put Bull there instead.

I do like the Bobby Abreu love though. Did you catch him in the booth this past August when he was inducted into the Phillies Wall of Fame (I think we were playing the White Sox in the game)?
Yeah, you can't help but love Kruk. He's the kind of guy you want to throw a bachelor party for him, some interesting shit is going to happen. Like you hire some strippers then get shitfaced and wreck your car on the Schuykill expressway on the way home, injuring your catcher. That kind of interesting.

Also, when he lived in San Diego, he had a bank robber as one of his roommates and didn't even realize it. You can't make that shit up.

He was the starting CF on a CFA World Series champion, you can never take that from him.

I haven't had that many Blue Jays actually. I had Casey Janssen for a long time and he was on that championship team with Saunders. Not much else of value I don't think. I owned Delgado for half a season when he was a Met but it didn't mean much to me.

Glavine would probably be my pitcher if he would have went to any team other than the Mets, but he did, so I had to go with Smoltz.
