Go M's!

Los Angeles Angels @ Seattle Mariners

Monday, April 6, 1:10 PM PDT , Safeco Field
Jered Weaver, RHP

http://seattle.mariners.mlb.com/news/probable_pitchers/index.jsp?c_id=ana

Weaver takes the ball for his franchise-record seventh Opening Day start and sixth in a row. The 32-year-old right-hander, entering his 10th season, won an American League-leading 18 games last year while posting a 3.59 ERA in 213 1/3 innings.

Felix Hernandez, RHP
http://seattle.mariners.mlb.com/news/probable_pitchers/index.jsp?c_id=sea

The Mariners ace makes his club-record eighth Opening Day start and seventh straight, which will be the longest streak by any active Major Leaguer. Hernandez is 5-0 with a 1.52 ERA on Opening Day and beat the Angels in last year's debut in Anaheim.

Los Angeles Angels @ Seattle Mariners
Tuesday, April 7, 7:10 PM PDT , Safeco Field
C.J. Wilson, LHP

http://seattle.mariners.mlb.com/news/probable_pitchers/index.jsp?c_id=ana

Wilson is coming off his worst season in five years as a Major League starter, posting a 4.51 ERA and walking an American League-leading 85 batters in 175 2/3 innings. Over his last 16 regular-season starts, Wilson gave up 51 runs in 76 innings.

James Paxton, LHP
http://seattle.mariners.mlb.com/news/probable_pitchers/index.jsp?c_id=sea

Despite a shaky spring, Paxton has been slotted into the No. 2 spot in the rotation. The 26-year-old lefty has been outstanding when healthy (9-4, 2.66 ERA in 17 career starts) and is 2-1 with a 2.59 ERA in four games against the Halos.

Los Angeles Angels @ Seattle Mariners
Wednesday, April 8, 7:10 PM PDT , Safeco Field
Matt Shoemaker, RHP

http://seattle.mariners.mlb.com/news/probable_pitchers/index.jsp?c_id=ana

Shoemaker came out of nowhere to finish second in American League Rookie of the Year voting in 2014, his age-27 season. Undrafted out of Eastern Michigan University, Shoemaker went 16-4 with a 3.04 ERA and a 5.17 strikeout-to-walk ratio.

Hisashi Iwakuma, RHP

The 2013 All-Star would be the No. 1 starter on some staffs (he's 37-19, 2.97 ERA in 77 career starts), but he'll open third for Seattle this year. The 33-year-old is 6-1, 2.75 ERA in 10 outings against the Angels.

Here is to hoping they come out hot and hopefully the stadium isn't filled with a bunch of 20's.

Well, it took less than 1 inning into the season to see the strike zone expanded to twice its size.

Good job getting an early start Mr. Blind ump.

2-1. Take charge Felix. I would like to see Felix buzzzz that Trout Guy. Trout is a stud, make him think Felix. Send him a reminder pitch.

NICE! Good at bats by Cano/Smith. Cruz a little quiet but not worried atm. Would be nice to see some production today out of Ackley. We really need a dark horse year out of him this year.

Great game all around.

Seth Smith! Could be our "professional hitter" of the year. Few easy outs, will work the count, and can set up Cano, Cruz, and Seager. Let's hope.

Ackley, Miller, Jackson, and Morrison all with good knocks today to start off the season with confidence.

Zunino looked great again behind the plate. Nothing lost there.

Can't wait to see what Paxton brings tomorrow

1-0!
