Thanks Caps Semin looked decent tonight. It was funny, I was explaining the current Caps situation to my Mom a bit and mentioned how many Caps fans are sick of Semin, then he scored twice...don't think she believes me now.

Skyora is the king of the two goal game. The first time he ever got a hatty was a BIG night. Guy is just snakebit when he gets 2.

Caps did all the things tonight I'd been hoping they'd do. Getting pucks to the front of the net more (and putting screens/net presence there), using their skill to transition and less dumping/chasing and cycling (they still used it some, but not to excess), and some stretch passes and some gambling breakouts. Hope we see more of this. We looked dominant in periods 1 and 2.

Good 4-1 win and missed on a LOT of good scoring chances too. (Brouwer's missed layup, , though he was an absolute animal tonight) Good intensity from the hop.

Nice to see us look like the Capitals. About fucking time. Keep it going, boys.

Yes, true. But I thought the actual tactics they used on offense were markedly different last night. We'll see if it was just that the opportunities were there or if they actually are shifting their approach some.
