I'd rather not have Wisconsin & Michigan beat us by 4+ touchdowns and I'd really rather not have Northwestern beat us at all, especially at home.

I'd rather not have Texas beat us at home when everyone else in the conference is beating them.

I'd rather not throttle Washington at the start of the season and then not show up to play at the end of the season.

I am not one to say fire Bo. I am willing to give him time but just saying all is great because he is one of a few coaches to win more than 9 consistently is not telling the whole story.

That is the rose colored glass syndrome.

Ok I'm done being a wet towel now. :bounce:

Lets be fair

Bo's had turnover in his coaching staff the last couple of years, and had 9 months to retool for BiG 10 style football last season.

All things considered we may not be giving 9/10 wins enough credit.

Could be worse - Bill Callahan could still be coaching.

McKewon: Pelini plots for Year Two in Big Ten - Omaha.com

LINCOLN — Picture an aircraft carrier steaming toward a conflict. It's outfitted with all the planes, gear, officers, crew, pilots and escort ships needed for the job.
But as the ship cuts through the water, the admiral learns his battle group has a new mission, a hotspot oceans away. A 180-degree turn, followed by an entirely different battle plan.

That's a bit of what Nebraska coach Bo Pelini faced on June 11, 2010, as Big Ten Commissioner Jim Delany announced NU's acceptance into a new league.
Pelini didn't say much that day. He'd spent three years tailoring the Huskers toward winning one league — the Big 12 — and certainly couldn't stop tinkering with one year left in it. And he couldn't bemoan the work he and his staff would have to put in turning toward the Big Ten because that would have been sour grapes.

:pound:

Nice fuckin try old balls, still caught you.

I hadn't read that either numbnuts.

That issue of the defense needing to be retooled was discussed right here when NU joined the BiG 10 two fucking years ago.

If anything McKewon (and obviously you) are late to the topic.

Liar.

I've been discussing the issue of the Peso not translating and our depth at linebacker since the moment they announced the move.

I quit taking the OWH subscription years ago, and might go to their website once a week or so during football season.

I read Tom Shatel and didn't know who Sam McKewon even was until you brought him up, hence not knowing he didn't write for big red report or whatever.

if you knew you were right you wouldn't feel the need to explain yourself in such a detailed manner.

Or do you just care that much what we all think?

We all have you idiot. Hence Sam Mckewon's apparent article being late to the party like I just said. I've posted a few times since the transition that NU needs a couple more Dillard type linebackers to plug holes at the LOS..

The dudes apparently reaching for material.
