Am I the only one who’s thinking he’s kinda right here? Why did the ref grab him?

Seemed odd to me also. I guess it is preseason so it is better to cool off. He better not get any suspensions for this but once again this is the NHL and I fully expect something stupid.

It will be interesting to see what they focus on in the hearing, the initial wayward slash or the pushing and shoving.

Yeah. The slash seemed pretty dangerous from the officials perspective, IMO.

While I don't disagree with that I also think it's probably worth mentioning that the linesman seemingly didn't even find it dangerous enough at the time to blow the whistle and stop the play (let alone ejecting Kane entirely).

Bad draft year for the Isles. Two first rounders, and they went with Dal Colle and Ho Sang. Yikes.

The rest of their picks that year were equally bad. Only one (Devon Toews) has played in the NHL. And he has suited up for a total of 48 games.
