Oshie, Kuznetsov and Backstrom. You fade to Ovi, and one of those guys is gonna bury it.

Jackets have Laine and pretty much no one else, so he is never that open.

i was hoping Petey on one side and Brock on the other would give us this same advantage

Is the US/Canada border closed again? The Sabres game looks like it has about 2k in the seats

Really bad weather likely kept a lot of fans at home today.
I wasn’t sure if they were in the path of the storm that we got. 14” in 24 hours

/they got 17” lol

I remember a Flames game in the 80's at the old Meadowlands arena in New Jersey where a blizzard resulted in attendance under 1K

January 22, 1987 - A snowstorm brutally hit New Jersey as the Devils were scheduled to play the Calgary Flames at the Meadowlands. Only 334 fans showed up, making that game the "334 Club" game. To this day, it is the lowest-attended game in modern NHL history, not counting the 2020 NHL return to play playoffs

i went to a Canucks - Habs game in the late 80s with barely anyone at the Pacific Coliseum due to a snowstorm.
I left Guildford at 2 in the afternoon for a 7PM game. Spend a couple of hours in the bar across the street on Renfrew to decompress from the drive.
My dad had season tickets up in the upper section, when we went to go up the stairs, the usher advised us to take out pick in the lower bowl instead.

That storm was pretty nuts apparently. We were at the extreme western edge of it and got about 6 or so inches of snow. But it was that two hours of ice first that really fucked things up.

Looks like Buffalo and Toronto got whalloped.

I used to go to Penguins games in the early ‘80s with perfect weather at the Civic Arena and 2,000 people in the stands lol

Same for me with the Caps at Cap Centre. There were bigger crowds for the AHL Skipjacks in Baltimore in those days.
