If McDavid made 43 million per year they would price out 99.999999% of the folks who could come to home games. Or the NHL would have to adopt a 162 game season.

In all honesty, I would like to see them trim 10 games from the regular season. 72 games is enough. Start the season a little earlier, end the regular season earlier, and hand out the Stanley Cup the last week of May.
