Vancouver’s decision to grant Travis Hamonic a leave of absence instead of suspending him without pay (no doubt in consultation with the NHL and NHLPA) is a sign that a suspension takes everyone down a road no one yet is willing to travel. Several sources have warned this is more complicated than meets the eye, which is why the Canucks are being patient.

Every "insider" knows exactly wtf's going on and none are saying it. If this was the NBA we would've known before Hamonic even called Benning.
