Just wanted to follow-up 43's tweet above to say that Bill Guerin is no good if this is true...

12 years and counting since the Flames have won a season opener lol - Oh well, the plus side is I liked the intensity I saw last night, Oilers capitalized on some fortunate bounces, but the biggest problem I see for the Flames is a lack of finish amongst the forwards. Gubberson wasn't awful last night either, but Smith outplayed Markstrom which is not good.
That was my part of big observation as I watched the game on center ice. Really ties into the fact they can't finish well and a perfect example of that was in the third the shot Monahan had. He was coming down the left side and got a very nice wrist'er off but it was right into Smith's blocker. Smith didn't even need to move that much.

Side note nothing wanted to make me wanted to

more than the ENG stat padding McDavid conveniently got.

Seriously GOOD! I hope this all comes to light and some heads roll. Curious I'm wondering if HOF GMJR's oddly timed resignation had anything to do with this?

You mean the guy who smashed a prospect in the head with his hockey stick, for trying too hard against a veteran... Is not a nice person?

Bill Guerin has always been a piece of shit.
Add another nugget to the pile.

By no means do I condone the headbutt, but at least there was a response for Yamamoto running Markstrom.
I didn't see that game, but noticed that Yamamoto was a dirty prick in the game vs Vancouver.
It surprised me a bit.

This is kinda nuts from the Sabres - they have a $45 mil cap hit next season before any buyouts or trades. Why the hell wouldn’t they keep some cap if they can squeeze a third first rounder or something equally good in addition to the haul they’re already guaranteed why the hell wouldn’t you eat half for four years?

I am having a hard time deciding if all this stuff is coming out because ESPN loves to sling mud and thrives on controversy or if it's just Bettman's slipping control of the league.

And I don't know which would be better. Time for some big changes anyway. The old boy's club needs to die.

They could not be playing this hand any worse if they tried. They probably still believe they are getting 4 first rounders.
