Someone actually suggested this as an improvement.

I hope whoever came up with this whole idea falls out of a Russian window soon.
The Orlando Thunder are celebrating knowing they no longer have the worst jersey of all time.

Of the bunch, I think the Wild and Habs are the best. Hono(u)rable mention to NJ, Boston, and LA.

Love seeing the new Jets be allowed to use the retro Jets logo, even if I think the overall package is a dud.

Detroit and Dallas look like practice jerseys. Anaheim and Arizona should be trying to forget about those abominations instead of resurrecting them (also Calgary, to a lesser extent).

And lastly, fuck Carolina and Colorado for rubbing salt in the wounds of their former cities. I don't care how nice the jerseys look. Fuck them.

Been kind nice to see ordinary folks creating concepts that blow the Official designs out of the water.

I'd wear that. Even with the Spaghetti logo.

Blues, Habs, Kings and Wild look the nicest to me.

I don't mind the Sens one. But it could have been better. White numbers for a start.

In 1995-96 Paul Kariya score 64 more points than his next highest scoring teammate. 108 to 44. Unreal.

Worth noting that Selanne produced at a similar rate but came over midseason and only played 28 games as a Duck. It's still quite impressive though.

He did. But he wasn't a big part of Kariya producing like that.

It's impressive but also indicative of how bad his teammates were before Teemu arrived.

I went to hockeydb to find some obscure teammate to indignantly defend (leaning towards Joe Sacco)

what an odd roster. only 6 players played more than 64 games.
whole bunch of players in the 30-50 range

I noticed that too. They tore that team apart.

Still impressive though. In some ways even more impressive to get 108 points with a revolving door of line mates and teammates.

Rucchin wasn't that bad that year prior to Selanne's arrival (but also missed time), he had 26 points in 35 games.

The revolving door affects the overall totals though if you figure that Kariya had 82 games of first line opportunity while the other two spots ended up being split up in many different pieces. One would have to go through all of the game logs but it seems possible that a bunch of guys had 10-15 game stretches playing with Kariya where they scored at at least a decent pace but still had very mediocre totals overall. That's why I mentioned Selanne not being there at the start, I figured if you added the guys he replaced and looked at the aggregate you'd get a better looking number that better reflected how much weight Kariya was pulling.

The post Cup win activities by all the Lightning members has been responsible for at least 3% of all Covid cases in Florida.
