The provincial government here bought zoom licenses for next week. They heard feedback and i see now they are going to be using Microsoft teams for schools

My kids' schools use it and the Missus uses it for her classroom. It can be good, but you have to be careful.

You can lock it down and be extra vigilant. For example, they do closed invite-only meetings where each parent is given a unique QR code to get in. The link is never shared publicly (which is what happened with K'Andre), and my wife's aide's job during class time in to take attendance and only admit those who are on the list. Everyone dials in, is put in a waiting room and is admitted to the meetings one by one. My wife and the aide also have the power to kick anyone who shows up that isn't supposed to be there from the lobby before they get in.

Not everyone does those things, they just put on their school social media the date and time and link to the meeting and people come in and cause chaos. No real "hacking" involved beyond searching Instagram and Twitter for zoom links.

In my daughter's 8th grade class the way they pass the time in these is creative backgrounds. We learned this when she came downstairs and took "Starry Night" off the wall and up to her room. For my son, he just hung a school logo sticker in front of his camera.
