St. Louis just has a way of luring people to their city. A lot of former players continue to live in the St. Louis area after their playing career is over.

We've been spoiled down here... between Mike Heika (who now writes for the league and Stars) and DeFranks at the Dallas Morning News along with terrific play-by-play from Ralph Strangis followed by Dave Strader (before he got sick) and now Josh Bogorad... and of course the utter greatness of Razor...

Easy to enjoy hockey here.

Funny thing about St. Louis, there was a huge fire in the warehouse district of the city in the late 70's and when John Carpenter was looking for a location to shoot the movie 'Escape from New York', they decided on this area of St. Louis as the city had yet to perform any reclamation work and Carpenter felt it had the dystopian appearance he needed.

I really thought Ruff was as good as gone. Devils are playing very well. That could be a bad thing with Lindy though lol

In Lindy’s defence it’s not his fault he doesn’t have a goalie who can make a stop.

They’re allowing the fewest SOG in the league and putting the most on the other team’s net. It’s strictly shitty goaltending here.

Maybe I'm wrong but I want to give a ton of credit to Andrew Brunette. If this is Lindy's doing why did it take him 3 years to figure out what buttons to press with certain guys?

He has 4 years left on his contract.

For whatever reason it wasn't a fit anymore. How much of that is down to the guys they think are a fit making it hard for him to make much of an impact, well, I'll leave that to the Pens contingent here lol

Nope he was already paid. He just got Hextalled out of town due to other stupid contracts.

They seemed to wanted to be tougher on defense so naturally being in Petry and Rutta should fix that.

He was actually one of their most consistent d-men.
