All you have to do is look at the league ignoring the hits to the heads of Chytil and Forbort to determine that they don't care one iota about CTE or even player safety for that matter.
But you know what is way more important. More posts about AO breaking the goal record.

I am sorry I will go back to my hole now. :L

Maybe Mr. Friscus is really George Parros?!? The difference is that I essentially fired Friscus. I wish I could fire Parros.

I will cheer that lol

They catch a break though as Utah plays Nashville tonight in Music City and then have to travel to St. Louis to take on the Blues Tuesday night. I think the first tie-breaker is regulation wins so if Utah forces OT tomorrow night, even if the Blues win, if the Flames win their two games in regulation, both teams would finish with 96 points, but the Flames would have one more regulation win than St. Louis.

Of course, if the Wild decide to lose their final game to Anaheim, that would be fine as well :D

How about this for a Hollywood ending? Flames play the Kings Thursday night and need any kind of win (regulation, OT, shootout) to make the playoffs. Andrei Kuzmenko ends the Flames season with the shootout winner :D

It's kind of crazy that the Flames could still reasonably end up as the WC1.

They've got tough matchups left though.

Losing a point to the Ducks last week having a two goal lead with 4 minutes left in the 3rd period could really come back to haunt them.

11 100pt teams this year? (if FLA, EDM, and CAR pull through in 1 of their last 2 games) that seems high..

nice to see that not all matchups are set yet this close to the playoffs.

I hope both Columbus and Calgary make it for Johnny
As great as it would be to make it, I think long term it will be a bigger learning experience to miss so close to the end of the year. They've been playing in game 7s for about 2 weeks and it will stick in their gut all summer if they fall short. They will work their asses off to be ready to not let it slip away next year. Provided Donnie can make some solid additions (Boeser, Bennet?) next year should be the beginning of a good run.

Plus getting in would put us against Washington and that would be a disaster for this board. I still wish I knew what happened there. I actually liked the guy, thought we agreed on pretty much everything, then all of the sudden everything I said was met with rabid dog responses and trashing of everything I said I liked. :noidea: I kept him blocked as much for my sanity as I did his. Everything I said set him off. That is not healthy.

Yeah but did you end all your posts with "and thus you are pwned!"

Because I've heard that can really cut the tension.
