Mediocrity is a complement to a few of those teams. I’d lean towards rubbish.
Kicker being that this is the exact same pecking order as last year with the Caps and Rangers having swapped roles.

That means half the conference had an off-season to improve and didn’t.

And the excuses are always the same - “prices too high”, “players don’t want to sign here because there aren’t any palm trees”, “someone unplugged my red secure telephone line”, “my name is John Tortorella”.

Just a pile of wimpy executives and an old boys club who refuse to present offer sheets.

Adam Fox hasn't scored this season - He does have 22 assists though.

Ryan Graves and Grzelcyk don’t have a goal either.

So does that means them combined. === Fox.

The NHL continues to have an officiating issue but in my eyes it's been really bad over the last couple of weeks. You can tell players are gett8ing frustrated mostly over the inconsistency of calls, but also the officials have a role to protect players on the ice as well. When I see guys getting hit hard from behind into the boards and there's no call, it's tough to take.

refs egos are out of control

I mentioned this earlier, but NHL refs need to be made available in post-game pressers to explain controversial calls (or non-calls) that occurred during the game. The lack of transparency is what is most maddening.

100%... When ex refs come out and actually agree that they were biased and would look for penalties on certain teams and players you would think the NHL would address it immediatley. It really is the most pivotal part of the game that will destroy faith and belief that it is a competent and fair game.

They don’t need that but the league can take a page out of the NBA’s “last two minute” report and do something like that for egregious misses.

I'd be okay with that, it would just be good to have some kind of accountability. A guy leaves the game with an injury after a bad hit from behind and the refs review the play and decide to downgrade the major to a minor, I for one would like an explanation on the thought process lol
