Andrew Luck has a job.

The last 10 overall number 1 quarterbacks are:

Luck -- Should be a top QB for years
Newton -- Results very mixed thus far
Bradford -- Decent, not transformative
Stafford -- Lots of stats, lots of losses
Russel -- Purple Drank!!!
Smith -- Currently sitting on the bench
E. Manning -- Multiple super bowls. Pro bowler
Palmer -- Mixed results
Carr -- Sits on the bench these days
Vick -- Mixed results even before dog days

Not a lot of incentive to shoot for number 1.

Those are the only 3 really good QB's out of that list IMO. Stafford could still join that list if he can stay healthy and get more consistent.

yea, not every year a prospect like Luck comes around, he was near flawless in college, its like Joe Montana merely found away to transfer his brain into another man's body.

best to just build a good team and do good scouting. If a QB has a good OL, then he'll learn how to play.
