If they get in, they would play KC in the wild card round. KC is 0-4, including one postseason, in their last four games against the Titans. Is KC meant to go down in the playoffs to anyone other than NE, Baltimore, or Houston?
Furthermore, the Titans really are a long shot. If the Ravens beat the Browns, they don't have to beat the Steelers. They have the one seed locked up. It will not matter what Tennessee does against the Saints. They have to beat the Texans. If the Titans don't beat the Texans, Pittsburgh has the better conference record. Suppose the Steelers go 9-7 here if they were to lose to the Jets. Tennessee losing to the Saints but beating the Texans help their odds. If the conference record is tied (common is already tied), it's going down to strength of victory. Titans lead big in that category. And if the Steelers beat the Jets, well, it's game over.
Titans have to beat the Texans, regardless of what happens this weekend. Only way that happens is if Houston locks up the division today.
