Per Bengals.com

Bengals president Mike Brown has been selected as the NFL’s Executive of the Year by one pundit at the season’s halfway point.

Orange karma

At the beginning of the year I wanted to castrate Brown, but I am starting to fall into this a little bit. What started out as a bull headed move and what seemed another attempt to sabotage this organization has turned into nothing short of a minor miracle.

- 3rd youngest team in the NFL.
- One of the best Rookie QB/WR tandems ever in the NFL.
- A top 5 ranked defense.
- A team filled with a lot of heart and courage.
- An additional 1st and 2nd round pick for a player not even on the roster.
- #1 Seed in AFC at half way mark
- 5 game winning streak for first time since 1988
- Busted 3 or 4 long (horrible) streaks for this team
- Lewis, Gruden, Zimmer is turning out to be one hell of a coaching staff

He can be one bone headed, stubborn old man, but he has turned what was a pile of shit into gold this year so far.

Maybe the world is coming to an end next year??

I think it's valid but we should really be thanking Carson for all the Bengals good fortune. lets be honest, he was that catalyst for all this. If he doesnt make his powerplay he's probably..no defintiely the starting QB. Dalton isnt drafted. Brat may or may not still be here. Chad may still be here. I think Carson's actions forced Brown into a new way of thinking or starting from scratch which has really paid dividends. Regardless, I'm really happy with the roster and overall direction that the team seems to be headed in. Going into next year's draft, we;re in really good shape.

I dont think I can give Mike Brown much credit for all this. Maybe for the successful drafts over the last couple years, but it's been repored that he wanted Mallet over Dalton. Zimmer and Gruden, and to some extent Lewis, have done a great job.

...Most important is having young guys who WANT to play.
