Does it concern anyone Pittsburgh a great drafting team went spear fishing for a player at a position of need for Denver
I’m worried a little that bush may be the better player given Pittsburg is great evaluators.
From a team talent standpoint I’d say we are in greater need of offensive playmakers than defensive (LB included). We need to average significantly more points per game this season if we want to go anywhere.

We got the advantage in the trade, (the picks we got are worth more than what we gave up) and we took a TE that can really bolster our passing game. This doesn’t concern me much.

I agree, but I would have been fine taking Bush at 10.

I know the Athletic is a subscription, so I won't paste the whole article - but an interesting bit re Fant/McCarthy:

11:15 p.m.: The fireworks have finished, signaling the end of the first round, but for plenty of newly drafted players, their night continues. That includes new Broncos tight end Noah Fant of Iowa, who already has an inside connection to his new team.

Fant’s agent is Kyle McCarthy, a safety who played for the Broncos in 2010 and 2011, and overlapped with plenty of current Broncos’ employees, including director of player personnel Matt Russell, and several assistant coaches, including defensive backs coach Renaldo Hill, who was McCarthy’s teammate in 2010.

McCarthy, 32, grabbed a Broncos draft hat and wore it as he trailed Fant from stop to stop, checking his phone to make sure he was on top of coordinating Fant’s travel to Colorado on Friday.

“Back to Denver, it’s crazy,” McCarthy said. “I’m excited for him. I’m excited for Denver.”

Soon, Fant was escorted to a golf cart that would shuttle him through the rain, back to the players’ hotel where he’d reunite with his family, and by midnight, the draft complex was nearly empty.

I had no idea Kyle McCarthy is now an agent. Good for him. Most big Iowa prospect go with the same agent. Jack is his name. Nice to see Noah make his own decision outside the box a bit.

Which reminds me LGM doesn't know Jack.
