Are you serious? At no time in his history at this place has Hammer engaged in actual discourse about the Patriots. I don't give a shit about agreement, I tired of the endless repetitive drivel, the likes of which would have gotten any Pats poster banned. I don't hate the guy, I just think the board is better now.

I think you misunderstand my intent. I liked hammer - didn't like his shit. It lowered my IQ reading it.

He had to generate clicks and his best way was to pick on Patriots fans and get the rest to follow. It worked....many of his little troll followers went along with it...Ignore is a great feature...I am willing to bet the DB had numerous screen names to get his work done.

I'm not so sure that he needed to generate hits. This is hands down, the best sports board out there and the best way for steady consistent growth is reasonable moderation with a few mods who realize that they're not just another poster. I've moderated boards and the best course of action is to avoid moderating anything if you don't have to. People are rightfully pissed when they log in to find that some childish mod has restricted them without due cause. Mostly, just libelous stuff or restricted content needs to come down. The rest will generally sort itself out.

I tried another board after the ESPN meltdown. I left after I saw the regulars screaming "ban" after some due said something really mild. Micro-managing never works.....

I called him Captain Click Bait once. I was banned for a week or two, don't recall how long it was. Then I couldn't respond to post for another week or two.

That's because they just realized they don't want to meet this NE team in the playoffs.

Most of the really bad trolls have moved to a different bridge and the walk back is too far.

I find it rather pleasant to start a thread and have common sense and good natured fun rather than seeing everyone of them go off on a tangent and by Page 3 be a totally different subject.

The best thing of all, Brady was suspended for 4 games, Garopollo gets injured in game two and the 3rd string QB wins game 3 and breaks his throwing hand thumb and the Patriots lose game 4. Brady comes back and the Pats go 11-1. Brady was his usual great breaking the NFL record for Completion/INT ratio 28:2 and the backups were great.

The haters are dumbfounded and worse....................the Pats are looking like the Super Bowl favorites and the haters just have nowhere to go.

2016 was a pretty good season after all.....8^)
