Congrats to you sTyLnK and other Oiler fans.

You guys deserved the win. I really never meant to be such a poor sport about it but in the grand scheme of things the Sens should have won this game so you can understand my frustration. Especially with Hemsky and Khabibulin out.

Might as well use this thread...Bang bang and it's 2-0 Flames. Well the hell is going on tonight?

Well, there were probably about 5,000 Oilers fans in SBP tonight. Shows you how sad the Ottawa fanbase is.

The weakest fanbase of any Canadian team, by far, belongs to the Senators. Such fairweather fans it's not even funny and the media there is a joke. At times I feel like me and kenny are the only ones who remain loyal...

And even I'm considering adopting a new team. I don't live in Ottawa anymore and haven't for 9 years. I feel like I can adopt a new team now and wouldn't be labeled a bandwagoner.

Flyers...here I come. At least they're exciting to watch and I could actually see a couple of their games if I wanted to. :D

I saw that dash. Hopefully they don't start sitting back though like a certain team I know very well does when they get the lead.

Uh oh, it's the dreaded two goal lead after 40 minutes. Just keep on pushing Flames, don't sit back and try to protect.

Fucking brutal.

Marty Gerber must have taken all of his ex team mates out for about 30 beers each last night.

That was perhaps the worst 2 periods (last 2) of hockey of the YEAR for Ottawa.

My favourite moment was when the Oil scored on the 2-1 and it was at even strength; the only guy back was Alfredsson (ppsttt... he's a forward).

How in the shit do 2 D-Men pinch at the same time? Where are the guys covering for the point men? Ughh...

Pretty frustrating kenny. This should have been an easy win and they lost it because they didn't feel like skating.

If this keeps up then changes MUST be made. I'm sure you agree and right now Murray's head should be in the crosshairs.

I'm torn on Murray.

On the plus side I think he's got a good eye for talent, when it comes to drafting.

On the downside I don't necessarily like how he deals with his offseason. He seems to overpay for older guys in FA too much.

Maybe it's time for him to go but you have to respect the stable of young D-men that we have (Karlsson, Cowen, Wiercioch, Rundblad, Gryba). He went and got those guys and that is a solid foundation on which to build.

Meh... Right now I just want be Cory Clouston so I can bag skate the shit out of the whole team tomorrow.

Aside from Neil, Regin and Foligno no one played a good game. Fucking pathetic.

I think he's done an okay job but that's only because of his drafting. Otherwise I'd say he's done a very shitty job.

He's made some very questionable UFA signings (Gonchar, Kovalev) and he's failed to address other weaknesses. Still, he wasn't brought in to rebuild. He was brought in to win and he sure as hell isn't doing that. That's why I feel it might be necessary. Keep in mind that probably won't happen until this summer though when Murray's contract runs out.

I think somebody else should get their chance to come in and see what this team is and make changes they feel are necessary. We've had the same core players forever now. It's time to bring in some younger guys that work hard every night and ditch some of the old guard.

I have to say I am looking forward to Kovalev leaving this summer. Same with Ruutu and Shannon.

I was hoping Phillips would get a contract extension but I'm on the fence about him now. He's really really struggled this season and with those strong D prospects on the way, it might be best to trade him at the deadline and move on.

I also wouldn't be against trading some other key players if the opportunity arises. Lets be honest, this is this cores last gasp. Alfie is 38 next month and some of the other core players have really struggled for a few seasons.
