Even though in the pic he's playing center, In the article they say he's a guard and when I saw it on the ESPN crawler they also listed him as a guard. Not that being versatile enough to play center n guard is a bad thing.

Understood, was just trying to show dad that guards (rather journeyman or veteran) 2nd tier types make considerably less. Is BS considerably $9m better than those 2nd tier players at his position. Highly doubt that.

Far as Feliciano goes. I think you have to figure it like this. Is BS a better OG than Feliciano? Sure, BS gets that nod. But is he a million dollars better @ only 1/3 of availability for a player that can play both OG n C it appears. That's a far tougher question for me to answer, but if Feliciano is an adequate or better than adequate OG who can fill in @ center in a pinch @ the price of 5.6 mill per year for 3 years. As opposed to BS who can play really well as an OG n OG only @ 18 million for 1 year. Than my answer would be a definite no, he not.

So what makes BS better? I don’t see BS as being 2 million better for sure.

Thuney was 2nd team AP but has been available to start every game since coming into the league.

Scherff hasn’t started 16 games since Thuney was a Rookie.

Those guards gotta block some crazy talented and deep interior defensive linemen. We've all seen how disruptive a good interior pass rush is. Good guards or interior blockers in general are not a dime a dozen.
. For me it's more about how people view the position. People seem to think they're just not that important which is far from the case, imo.
Hence why 2 of the top 5 highest paid o/ lineman are OGS by trade
