QB- We won't discuss. We all know KC is the QB next season and CM will likely be the backup.

OL- the only position we need to upgrade is center. We have good young depth throughout the OL with plenty of player development possibilities. There is no need to waste draft capital at G or LT unless they are obviously the BPA at the pick. So center options other than possibly moving Long inside because Leeibeus is our only FA and good riddance...Stefan Wisniewski was only 2.5 mil in cap hit for 2015 and is 26. He has five years as a starter. I would definitely poke my head in and see what he is looking for...draft Nick Martin in the second or third round...draft Dan Voltz in 5th or 6th because he went to Wisconsin (seriously).

RB- we obviously need to do something here. Everybody not named Matt Jones is a FA. I am all about FA for this position. Chris Ivory (27), Lamar Miller (24), Doug Martin (26), Stevan Ridley (26), Ronnie Hillman (24), CJ Anderson (24), Charcandrick West (24) can all be had relatively cheap. I prefer CJ Anderson and resigning Chris Thompson but that is just me. I expect Doug Martin will get paid...Some really like the idea of drafting Eliot or He Ray in the first. I see that as a mistake. I like Byron Marshall in the seventh round though.

WR- I could see us doing all kinds of things here from renegotiating with Garçon and DJ but nothing else to cutting Garçon and signing Alshon Jeffrey (25) with a market value of 13 mil per season. Other cheaper free agents would be Rishard Matthews (26), Mohamed Sanu (26), Marvin Jones (25) but a very weak class...Draft class appears equally weak. There isn't nearly as much chatter about these guys as the last few draft classes. Michael Thomas is the only one I would like in the first. There are a couple mid round guys that may be interesting such as Josh Doctson, Derunnya Wilson, Rashard Higgins, and Kenny Lawler. Overall, I am happy with our current bunch though.

TE- Our only FA is Paulsen and I wouldn't mind resigning him and calling it a day. The only FA options that are remotely appealing are Dwayne Allen (25) and Coby Fleenor (27). I wouldn't be opposed to adding Hunter Henry in the first or waiting for Jake McGee later. Ultimately, I look forward to KC having a choice of TEs to throw to considering they are his favorite target.

Lamar Miller. Under utilized in Miami. 3 down RB if need be. Young and not a lot of mileage.

I like Doctson from TCU. Huge catch radius. Will give KC another good red zone target so teams can't just focus on Reed. Garcon and DJax aren't reliable throw em up and win a jump ball type WRs. Garcon is a fighter and I like his chances in any 50-50 though, but he's limited size wise

I forgot about that mistake Carrier. That being said, you are right, let Paulson walk. I am pretty sure Paul is back next season. I do look forward to that. I am just not against the idea of a positional upgrade via the draft. Hunter Henry and Jake McGee are both huge and can catch. They can also do something no other TE on our team can do...block. If I had a choice, I would take McGee in the fifth over Henry in the first...just saying I wouldn't mind Henry.

You know me dad...I don't like big names or FAs over 30.

No reason to not invest a high draft pick on an Olineman. None whatsoever. Dallas has 3 first rounders starting on their Oline, and their line continues to be a beast. In order for KC to perform well, a good offensive line is a must.
Drafting a big DT at 21, and a C in the second round might be the way to go.

We need an RB, that's true, although if Morris wanted to return on the cheap, I'd be happy to have him. Classy dude, good role model, and who's to say that his production didn't suffer from the OLine being so bad. It isnt like Matt Jones dominated with the same Oline. To be honest, I'd be happy if they resign Thomson for change of pace, and then figured out what to do with Morris.

Lamar Miller is a great choice to replace Morris, though only on a team - friendly deal. RB's can be found in the draft.

As for TE's: I think the redskins would be wise to see who is healthy before investing in any free agents. Paul, Paulsen, Carrier, Reed is a great foursome. I thought Alex Smith did pretty well too. No to Fleener and Allen. Scrubs.

I think that besides more Olinemen, the only MUST the redskins need to do is to sign another big target for the middle of the field, and the red zone. A big WR, preferably. I think signing Jeffrey would be a huge mistake.

Not even going to start throwing out FA names until second week of March since the list of prospective FA's is likely to shrink in half between now and then.

Skins should be in BPA mode. Outside of QB and RB, I would look at any position if the value is there.

Pretty sure I said center was where we need to improve on the list. I don't see any centers in the first round worth looking at, the likelihood of BPA being a tackle or guard at 21 are slim to none, and our OL was pretty good this season.

I would not be opposed to AMMO coming back but there is more talent on the market than before so it is a buyer's market.

I am fine with our TE situation. Look forward to the draft.

Appreciate the last sentence. The bigger thing with that is that the current GM basically shares that opinion.

I don't know if there are centers that are worth a first round tender. I don't follow college football, and I do know that Centers, for some reason, are often not picked in the first round.

I do think that the redskins need more high draft picks on both lines, EVEN THOUGH I know that the Oline was pretty good this year (especially in pass protection).

I think that the likelihood of the BPA being a tackle or guard at 21 is better than slim to none. I'm not sure how anybody could think that it would be slim to none, but that's your opinion.

You sign AMMO and draft another RB (Shanahan model - draft an RB every year), because you want to set up a culture where players who deserve an extension, get an extension. Let Morris test the free agent waters, and ask him to give the redskins the right to match. That might do it.

I also look forward to the draft.

QB - We all know the deal

RB - Whatever the cheapest solution is. Most replaceable position in football, and Jones is at least decent. If any of those guys you named are cheap or a late round rookie.

WR - Kick the tires on Jeffery and see what the deal is there. Otherwise ignore in FA. Not a huge fan of taking one unless we really love him and think he'll be a stud. But then again the best wide reciever in football was a 5th round pick so I guess I cant complain if we take a WR later.

TE - I think we're good here if we bring everybody back

C - Same thoughts as you. Draft one and kick the tires on Wisniewski but Im not married to the idea of signing him

Overall Im a lot more interested to see what happens on the defensive side. If Kirk ends up being legit we have a pretty solid offense right now.

my philosophy in free agency is sign no one above age 28 . no big blockbuster contracts keep it real and fill a hole with a quality guy .
