i know football is the driver of ncaa programs now but what is keeping teams attached to mid major football conferences?

big east basketball should make a move to strengthen itself IMO.

how happy can uconn be playing smu, ucf, tulsa etc....

what if big east basketball expanded with uconn, temple, cincy, and one more from a10 (umass, rhode island, dayton)?

football expansion fucked up some great conferences.....

2 non catholics in butler and creighton i think not sure, but why would they let religion cap their potential to be better. catholic grouping was only a coveinent way of overlooking the fact that none of them had div 1 football teams in the old big east.

i think you could even strengthen the football solution by having uconn, temple, and cincy joining the MAC for football. that mac would be better than current american IMO.

BE ain't adding.

It's 10 basketball only catholic schools creating a regular season round robin.

If they were too ever expand for some reason Dayton would be top of the list.

not adding is their loss....public opinion this year was they were better than last year but then they fell flat in the tourney. why they would strive to be a mid major only is short sighted.

They will consistently be a top 3 conference lol. Far from mid major. The SEC is like a low major then.

They played it basically to seed. Providence choked and then Nova had one of those games. Xavier over performed.

2 best conference RPI.

It's only going to get better has Wojo gets his footprint on Marquette. A top 3 all time program in the league which is currently down.

Adding is necessary at all.

respectfully disagree...they are now a mid major pure and simple and all the past history in the world can only carry them so far.

Mid majors don't have 3 top 20 all time programs and two other stable tournament mainstays(butler and Xavier)

Mid major conferences don't conistently send 50-60% of their league to the tournament.

It's a mid major in your opinion only. Nothing supports it however.

round robin against 4 shit teams is easy 8 wins right of the bat...and you can shit in one hand and put your past history in the other and see which fills up first.

The league has 1 doormat in DePaul.

Seriosly your logic is so mind bogglingly idiotic. The SEC is absolutely a mid
Major if we are going by your ill informed opinion. Hope Florida enjoys it!!
