up by 9 couldn't close game.... had Winslow AND Okafor out for the last 4 minutes of the 1st half and didn't get it done... Couldn't make a FT either

The thing about that game is the refs got ALL the calls wrong both ways. In this one it was some calls wrong one way with rather unfortunate timing.

And I stick by what I said in an earlier post. Refs might have killed our chances, but we were the ones who let Duke have a chance to begin with by not going for the jugular when we had the chance.

I thought that the officials made some really terrible calls against Wisconsin, but that's not why they lost IMO. They just looked flat. I think they'd waited a year for their Super Bowl against Kentucky, they celebrated like they had won it all after the game, and they just couldn't play the same great game 48 hours later. Dekker for one, didn't even look like the same guy.They were hitting everything they threw up Saturday, and no, it wasn't the defense, half the time Dekker was wide open and throwing up air balls

Ryan lacked a bit of poise there and it's too bad because I thought it was a great game to watch. The last 10 minutes....Wisky started getting gassed. You miss open shots when you're whipped.

I would say after the calls that were made on Saturday, you couldn't be more correct. I didn't watch the game, nor did I, or do I care about who won but I do think its funny to hear that Coach Ryan cried about the refs when he was handed a back breaking call that resulted in a 5 point swing with less than 2 minutes to play in the Final Four game.

Karma's a bitch I guess.

Bad calls were made both ways. I'm a Carolina Fan, no love loss for Duke, but I witnessed a bad blocking call against Duke that should have been a charge v Wisconsin. Yes, there were also some bad calls v. Wisconsin, I'll give you that, but the refs looked like they had a bad game all around.

I completely agree. I will say that the officiating was a debacle in this tourney. It is a shame that you can not discuss the last 2 games without mentioning the officiating. There will always be calls fanbases consider bad, but those should be reserved for judgement calls (ie charges/blocks). It is mind numbing that 2 huge blown calls were a replay on an out of bounds call (Winslow) and missed shot clock violation, those are black and white calls, you just can not miss those.

The game was tied with 5 minutes left. From that point on Wisconsin shot 3/10 and Duke shot 4/6. Duke hit key shots, Wisconsin took terrible shots and missed them.
