Nebraska lost a commit (Hodges) and gained a commit (Mauga) in the space of a week but still have a lot of spots to fill come December 18th. The last visit weekend of the early signing period is upon us... Who's on campus? Here you go:
Keyshawn Greene (4-Star, OLB) [Crawfordville, FL] - Former FSU commit opted to visit Nebraska instead of FSU and their new staff this weekend. Greene could play OLB or ILB for Nebraska and the main competition here is Miami. Greene, one of the most athletic linebacker prospects in the country plans to sign on Wednesday and his Mom is supposedly making it into Lincoln as well. If Nebraska can overcome distance and weather this one could go well.
Alante Brown (4-Star, WR) [Chicago, IL] - Brown was once a Texas Tech commit before not qualifying and going the prep school route instead of the JUCO route. It's paid off as he is the top rated prep prospect in the country according to 247Sports. This visit has already happened as he went midweek to Nebraska. Other players right now are Indiana, Maryland and Va Tech.
Niko Cooper (NYR, OLB) JUCO [Hutchinson, KS] - Cooper certainly looks the part. His 6'5" 220 lbs frame looks like a pass rushing OLB in this system. Nebraska and Maryland are the vying for his services.
Tanoa Togiai (3-Star, DE) [Rigby, ID] - Nebraska would like to add at least one more high school DE to the fold in this class. Togiai is a late bloomer from a sparsely populated area but he has a lot of offers based on his measurables alone. Utah, UCLA, Virginia and Kansas State are all teams that have offered the recruit. Nebraska gets the last shot at hosting. Utah will be tough to beat here.
