Nebraska's trying to close out a recruiting class that has been a bit stagnant of late and they have two big weekends to do it. This weekend might be the biggest because of both 2016 and 2017 visitors that are said to be on campus. Here's the list so far, as always, these things can change:

2016 Prospects

Marquel Dismuke - Current Nebraska commit and a perhaps an interesting lynch pin for the 2017 class the 4-star Safety from Calabassas California will finally make a visit. He's all-N but more importantly he will be talking to players like Darnay Holmes, Brian Hightower, Tristan Gebbia and Keyshawn Johnson Jr. about Nebraska (some of which will be making the visit this weekend).

Isaiah Simmons - The 4-star ATH from Kansas is being recruited as a WR by Nebraska and Nebraska seemed to be pulling away from the competition but this week both Michigan and Clemson jumped in with offers. The fact that Simmons is still visiting Nebraska (a place he has unofficially visited multiple times) is big but Clemson is making a big push. Clemson though, is recruiting Simmons as a Safety. Simmons will announce his decision on signing day.

Bryan Brokop - The long time Nebraska commit will finally make a visit this weekend, he has never
wavered in his commitment though teams have come calling.

Chase Allen - Allen has been a Michigan lean since his visit but Nebraska will be in home tonight and he will be visiting Lincoln this weekend. The safe bet is still on Michigan but Allen has been to Lincoln before and taking another visit seems like more than a passing interest. This one will be interesting.

Pernell Jefferson - Jefferson is a 3-4 OLB commit to Oklahoma right now but seems to think he could fit a 4-3 DE role better. Nebraska gives him that opportunity and is looking for DEs in this class.

Collin Miller - Another defensive end recruit out of Indiana called Nebraska his dream offer. He was going to visit on the 29th but after an in home with Banker decided to move up that visit to this weekend.

2017 Prospects

Keyshawn Johnson Jr. - The 4-star WR has long been on Nebraska's radar and is visiting yet again this weekend with some teammates. Nebraska recently made Johnson's top 5 and the Huskers and coach Williams will definitely push for a commitment this weekend, though I doubt it happens.

Darnay Holmes - The 5-Star CB might be a tougher pull than Johnson but he is yet again visiting with his friends Keyshawn and Marquel. Holmes is an elite prospect that is on the top of Nebraska's board for next class, getting him on another visit is big but he will still be tough to pull away from the west coast.

Transfer Visit

Tanner Lee - The QB for Tulane is visiting this weekend as well as he has decided to transfer from Tulane to another school. Lee visited LSU last weekend and will be visiting Nebraska this weekend. It seems to be down to these two schools to garner his services. Lee is NOT a graduate transfer so he would have to sit out the 2016 season.

Looks like Chase Allen will be coming as well. Tight end from MO that just visited Michigan last weekend.

Yeah something like a 40 degree shift in windchill from last weekend

Not sure how mid to upper 30's will feel to those from warm climates, but it'll feel like a heat wave to anyone east of the Rockies and north of Tennessee.

KJJ tweeted something about being excited for snow or something.

Too bad we can't get a look from this kid.

Erik Swenson - Yahoo! Sports

Michigan pulled his scholly offer today. He'd been committed there since 2013.

Yeah, I find it interesting that we haven't bothered too much to kick the tires on him, perhaps that means we feel good about our chances with Alaric Jackson and Matt Farniok? They are our top two OT targets (well, unless you count Jauan Williams who we would take regardless).

Apparently Michigan has been trying to get Swenson to look elsewhere for a while and the kid isn't very good at picking up on hints. They finally had to flat out tell him he didn't have a spot. Not sure what his ceiling is but from the sound of things he'd need some work.

Looks like Harbaugh ain't so cool. He does some dirty recruiting.

Nebraska kept Darlington's scholarship offer but Michigan pulls an offer from a healthy kid that has been committed since 2013.

You would think this stuff would discourage other recruits, but it doesn't. Alabama has been doing this for quite some time, and keeps pulling in the best recruits.

Hopefully, Swenson can go to Northwestern or Illinois and stay in state. Or maybe go to Indiana or Penn State so he can play Michigan every year. Nebraska does play Michigan in 2018.

Erik Swenson did learn a tough life lesson and I hope he gets to exact some revenge on Michigan and Harbaugh.

Every program does the same thing. What do you think happened to Aphonso Thomas? Think he legitimately thought SMU was a better place/program and he wanted to go there instead? This happens ALL the time.

Yes, however, I would say we gave Aphonso Thomas plenty of time to get re-recruited, Michigan pulled this kids offer just two weeks before signing day. Now, he's an elite prospect so he'll go somewhere, but that's not an easy thing.

According to what I heard, they had been telling him for a long time to look somewhere else. He has alledgedly known he didn't have a spot for a long time but stayed "committed".
