Houston can keep Parsons if Bosh signs first. They can go over the cap to keep Parsons.

I realize things would have to move fast since the Rockets have just 3 days to make a decision, but it's still possible.

Technically they can. But we are talking about a large tax penalty. It would be the equivalent of paying Parsons like $22 mil a season. They still need to trade Lin to make the Bosh deal work.

The report said that he would re-sign with the Knicks unless he had a last minute change of heart.

WTF does that mean?

It means Isola is wisely covering his ass. His source is supposedly a friend of Melo and his justification was the friend was right about a workout Melo did as well. Friends of players aren't great sources, but can be useful. I'm sure all of Lebron's friends in 2010 (and now) would say Cleveland so you can't always trust what they say because a lot of times, friends usually speak on what they want the player to do. So knowing the source isn't directly involved, Isola adds in the "last minute" part just to cover himself. If Melo stays, Isola nailed the story with his source. If Melo leaves, well...guess what? Melo had a change of heart and Isola is still technically right.

I know, but the Rockets got bounced early in back to back playoffs.....the owner may be willing to pay it.

The thing that really blows my mind in all of this is how Lebron has left the Heat in such a bind if he goes to Cleveland. The Heat really only have 2 players under contract right now along with an unsigned draft pick that the King wanted. It is one thing to make a decision and move on, but another thing to leave the organization and his friend who helped him win two titles in a bad situation on account of timing.

I thought they had "money issues" or TV rights problem with their local cable company. Something that includes the Astros if I remember correctly.

Please stop with the premature Wade death.

Kyrie has played 70 games a total of 1 time in his career.
Wade shot 12%'higher than Kyrie last year.

Wade and the rest of the Heat had a shitty Finals and ran into a buzz saw.
Nothing more, nothing less.

The Heat were one of the oldest rosters in the league, Cavs one of the youngest. KLove will be the deciding factor, if can get him. Kyrie, Love, and LBJ is easily the best trio.

Love > Bosh
Kyrie right now can score will the best of him. DWade can still play, I'm not saying that, but over a full season no. He can't even do it over the whole playoffs. But he is still a beast, I'm not denying that.

They basically have 5 players if you count McBob & Granger, for $12-13 mil. Then they have around $60 potentially tied up in the big 3.

The Rockets owner is loaded and I'm sure he wants to get out of the first round and have a team that actually competes for something after bringing in Harden and Howard.

That's on Riley buddy, Lebron didn't have anything to do with that. When they all opted out, most likely no one knew nothing. You take chances sometimes and you lose.

As I said before if he's not sold on what the Heat have done so far, he should've been notified them he will not be coming back since he opted out because what the heat are doing isn't a surprise. No way could the Heat have gone out there and acquired guys like Ariza, Gasol, Deng, or Lowry with the big 3 coming back unless one of them wanted to take the MLE

You can't have your cake & eat it too. You can't expect to get the max contract, play with Bosh/Wade, and still have great role players.

I guess you do not realize he is still undecided, and I'm sure he told Riley. How can he notify them if he doesn't know? Makes no sense.

yep adding love would be a killer deal. im hoping love doesn't get dealt at all. only chance lakers have at getting him is if he lasts till free agency next season

The heat were one of the oldest due to their role players. The core are all still young if they come back. LeBron is 29, bosh is 30, and wade is 32. They also already got younger at the other positions as well. Napier replaces Chalmers, granger replaces battier, and McRoberts is replacing lewis most likely

Sports SportsHoopla should use its Twitter feed to post a breaking news scoop on Lebron claiming some Heat or Cavs fan here is an inside source. THINK OF THE PAGE VIEWS!

Yeah, people hear names like McBob and Granger and want to scoff, but Miami made it to the Finals with lesser roleplayers like Battier and Lewis last year. It's an improvement for sure.
