I disagree, I think Wade and Bosh took the low road. When LBJ was leading them, they took a little less to build a team and when LBJ left, they wanted max deals. We got our "rings" now it's time to cash in.

What max deal did wade get? He was scheduled to make 40 million over the next 2 years before he opted out and now he's making 34 million over the next 2 years after opting out. Once LeBron left, bosh was going to get the max either way. Either from Miami or from Houston.

Bosh is the ultimate follower. He followed LBJ to South Beach for rings and now followed Wade to the cash register.

He was leaving Toronto no matter what. He didn't leave Toronto because LeBron came to Miami. He left Toronto because he wanted to compete for a title so if LeBron doesn't go to Miami, he probably goes to Chicago or Dallas in 2010. Let's not act like bosh was staying in Toronto before LeBron opted out. Out of all the free agents in 2010, the 2 whp were slam dunks to leave their former teams were bosh & amare.

And you drink what?
Wade got a max?
Reality, opted out of 40 and took 30.
Bosh made a decision based on James.
He would have taken a paycut, but then when James left took max money ( as he should have).

Pretty funny coming from a fan of a team who has James.
Players follow him to Cleveland.

End of discussion.

C'mon man. You know that Cavs fans and facts are rarely in the same room together.

They might as well.

Even with Thad, they are not sniffing the Playoffs.

I really like Pek at Center. But, Dude has some injury issues as well.

He only played 54 games last Season and his 12mil per year extension kicks in this year.

I could see them trading Rubio, if he doesn't stop being silly with his contract demands, Pek and Martin before the deadline.

If I'm them, I'd consider trading Thad too. They will have to overpay to keep him and he will almost certainly opt-out at Seasons end.

Still, Wolves have reason to be optimistic about their future. Shabazz, LaVine, Dieng, Wiggins could all be very good players.

I'm on the fence about fat-boy Bennett. Maybe he will show us something this Season. He has worked on his body. So, being in Minny may help him get over the scars of being so bad last year. All eyes will be on Wiggins...Plus, Timberpups games won't see the light of day outside the local market broadcasts.

PS. Has it been confirmed that the Warriors offered Klay? I saw an article yesterday that said Jerry West took him off the table. If they did.....wow.

Only thing I can think of is the Wolves didn't want to be held hostage by a guy seeking a max deal.

I hear you about the Wolves.

But, I'm of the belief that Wiggins will be elite.

You know I heart LaVine.

So, this was a good trade for Minny...imo.

I fear the Mercury.

They have laid 5 straight ass whoopins on the Sparks this year :bawling:.

He won't be elite if he doesn't improve dribble. Just ask Harrison Barnes

It's sad that a Heat fan now has to rely on football for his enjoyment. For us (Cleveland) football is an afterthought now and we can't wait for the NBA.

No one rang your damn buzzer.

I've always liked college and professional football more. Me and just about every other person in this country feels the same.

The salary cap is meaningless to billionaires like Gilbert. The Cavs will likely be one of the higher payroll teams in the league over the next 5 years or so and were the last few years of LBJ's first time in Cleveland. Gilbert will now be paying the luxury tax penalty. Love will get a max deal next summer, LBJ got a max, and so did Kyrie.

Most of the owners in the league are billionaires. The CBA was designed so that teams couldn't sign all of the all-stars that they wanted and preserve some type of competitiveness. Wade and Bosh could only get the mid-level or veterans minimum had they gone to Cleveland. Plus, Lebron's likely the only person to ever choose Miami over Cleveland.

He meant high road as they kept their statements politically correct to the media and handled his leaving with class. Getting max dollars has nothing to do with Lebron. Also, Wade's only going to make $14-$15 mil this season, how's that a max contract?

:bullshit: CP3 was vetoed from going to the Lakers by Stern. They could've vetoed Lebron from going to go to the Heats. If that happened, Heats would not have had a Big Three and possible not even get two rings. :noidea: Also means Lebron did something to not get vetoed.

James' showed his loyalty was to himself/brand.

Bosh/Wade rightfully took the high road publicly, because it is a business, but I'll bet behind clothes doors they aren't very happy with how he conducted it.

I don't know, those guys are great friends (especially Wade and LeBron). I'm sure there's some disappointment at missed opportunity... but I really don't think there's any hard feelings or damaged relationship at all.

The way it turned out... all 3 took self-serving paths (not saying that it is the only motivation or even any). Wade and Bosh were clearly willing to sacrifice again, but because James chose a different path... they all went down the most self-serving paths.

Let's see if James attends Wade's wedding this weekend.

Something tells me LeBron won't be at d-wade wedding. A few weeks ago ud, bosh, and wade all attended dorell Wright's wedding. Bosh who never played a game in his life with Wright was at the wedding unlike haslem & wade who were teammates with Wright for some years. I think if LeBron was still on the heat, he would have attended also even though just like bosh he didn't have any connections with Wright.

Call me crazy but something tells me that LeBron hardly have spoken to wade or bosh since going to Cleveland. Wade & bosh were professionals and said all the right things after he left but I think both looked at it as a slap in the face on the inside as LeBron is saying that he thinks wade isn't on the same level as kyrie and same goes for love & bosh.

I actually think LeBron probably speak to Chalmers & cole way more frequently than he does wade & bosh these days.

I don't have anything to backup these thoughts but it's just a gut feeling I have

I also agree, based on nothing.

I think Bosh/Wade publicly supported James to do 'what was best for him and his family', but I think they took it more like 'he thinks we're old and washed up'.

I think once their careers end, they might become social buddies again, but until then I'm betting they hardly stay in touch.

False. Bosh could have done the same thing LBJ did when he left Cleveland in the first place. Sign with Miami for the max and then force a trade.

It really is amazing how little the standard fans know. Facts rarely reside in the mind of the FN or SportsHoopla posters.

Just like for months FN posters thought LeBron signed with Miami. In fact, he has NEVER signed with Miami. Some probably think to this day he wasn't TRADED to Miami.

Also, the Lakers owners aren't billionaires.

I have a gut feeling you have no idea what you are talking about.

You haven't a clue as to how often or even IF Wade and LeBron stay in touch.

Same for Bosh and LBJ.

Funny how the Hate LBJ train just keeps on moving down the tracks.

LBJ was right to think that Wade is washed up. It was quite obvious in the NBA finals. And Bosh's game is becoming a stretch 4 so that he can stay healthier longer. He's starting to shoot threes like Rasheed Wallace.

You are just so full of crap.

Bosh was mostly moved to the perimeter FOR JAMES. JUST LIKE Love will be.

Wade, had a crap Finals coming off of a season where he was strategically scheduled to not play a lot of games. He was very good when he did play.

This is the first summer in many that Wade isn't rehabbing.
I expect he will be very good this season when healthy, but I know we should not expect him to be healthy all 82.

As far as Finals, yes, James was the best Heat player, but his defense was average at best.
I believe the man he was defending has the series MVP trophy.
