Regal is the one that baffled me most for the reasons you said. Road Dogg somewhat but I guess that shows the lack of power Hunter continues to have. Thatcher didn’t surprise me in the least since he’s been off tv before 2.0 even came about.

What the fuck? I mean I get that he's hurt a lot nowadays but that doesn't mean you have to have him as a full time wrestler. He'd be excellent in a role like MVP is in, managing another talent but still getting a match every now and then. Joe is just as great a character as he is wrestler. Why the fuck would you not use that to your advantage? That's just fucking dumb

Looking forward to the Punk vs Joe rematch taking place in AEW later this year

Even if it’s not an on screen role, the guy would be a great trainer I believe. Don’t know the reason they re-signed him since they barely used him and yanked him off tv pretty quickly after he won the belt and wasn’t seen since.

My guess is is that they’re cutting back on scouting (which I believe he was doing) since they’re not going to bother with Indy talent right now. And with him being in his 40’s and injury prone, he’s not the type of person they want in this version of NXT.

And widely reported to be their top merch seller.

Look at how black and Andrade get regular run on aew when they have one show per week.
