Any backup plans for Safety then?
Haven't heard any names at the moment. I'm interested to see how the Broncos designed the contracts of Jackson and James. Would be a big part of the picture of how much cap space they truly have left. Leary I know and Sanders both could still be gone so will have to see on cap space adjustment throughout the FA period.

Also the Broncos and Paradis are at least still talking. So not a done deal that he is gone either. He might have waited too long on the Center market with Mitch Morse signing to the Bills. That is one of the teams that was fighting for him so could come down to the Broncos and Jets of who gets Paradis.

Broncos tried hard to bring back Billy Turner, whose forte is versatility (RT, RG, LG) but when they couldn't get it done, they moved on to Ja'Wuan James. #9sports

Dang what kind of money did Billy Turner turn down?????????????

Sounds like Matt Paradis is headed to the Carolina Panthers.

So Kareem Jackson only has a $5 million cap hit year one. Broncos can still make a move or two for sure.

We never talked to Roby once by the way .

Our coach likes tackling is my guess and him slacking late last year bought his ticket out of town

He had two major issues that the Broncos did not want to deal with.

1) Inconsistency. There were games that he looked like a true #1 CB. Problem is he couldn't ever put 3-4 games like that in a row.

2) He started becoming more of a locker room cancer this last year. The Jets game for example where he was getting destroyed he was going to the Jets sideline telling them they should trade for him. There were multiple times of these kind of issues popping up.

Good player when he wanted to be and still could turn into a very very good CB but it is all up to him.

Hopefully Denver can still sign an O-Lineman for depth and maybe a DB and LB to make this a solid FA period.

A source told Schefter that Turner gets a four-year, $28 million deal with a maximum value of $29.5 million. That includes $11 million in the first year.

I bet that was the sticking point all up front.

It is really a stunning dis on Roby - that the Broncos replaced him with a guy who is older - less physically talented - at a whopping contract. Here's your lesson Mr. Roby. It just might motivate him to out play Jackson next year.

I wonder about the character issue. Wasn't that the concern when he was drafted? Yet - Roby had some very good seasons early on.

It was a concern for sure that dropped him in the draft. There were some games where it was easy to see he did very little prep and was going to just win on athleticism alone. In college there were a lot of games where that could work for him. He had a couple of matchups though that exposed that weakness. He still has a very high ceiling and he has even said in the past he hasn't put in the work that he should. So he knows this is an issue, but sometimes guys just don't have that internal push towards greatness.

I feel like with some of the names still out there Denver can put together a solid day 3.

We still have people like Bryce Callahan, Ronald Darby,
Quinton Spain, KJ Wright, Tyler Eifert, Ha Ha Clinton-Dix, Pierre Desir, Darqueze Dennard, Bashaud Breeland, Darius Philon ,Morris Claiborne, Jason Verrett, etc out there if we still want anybody. Lot of DB's available if we want one.
