He's a cancer. Would have loved the guy 20 yrs ago.

Meh… I know he was probably big for his age, but I don't have much use for a 7 year old DT.

He's a cancer. Would have loved the guy 20 yrs ago. Why do you think their shopping him?

Because they know he's not happy in that shit organization, in that shit city. Playing for shit coaches for years now.

Schwartz was the cancer, Suh is just a young undisciplined player who had a coach that let his team run around like a bunch of thugs.

I haven't seen much to suggest that he's a cancer. Just a hot head who would thrive with veterans around him and a good coach. Trestman is pretty much the polar opposite of Schwartz.

All of that said, I'd rather draft a young player. I still don't think Detroit would give him up for anything less than a 1st and a 3rd. They're not shopping him. Simply taking calls… or they were.

Suh listens to no man. the dude has no respect and has done some blatantly stupid shit over the years. He's a cancer cause he's an entitled prick who does whatever he wants from what i have seen. he sacrifices dumb penalties all the time and not only doesnt take responsibility, but pretends it didnt happen even when the tape shows it. he's an asshat IMO

Just think he won't be able to change his game, no matter who the coach is.
Agree Schwartz was as much of a cancer as Suh. But players rarely change their game.
Suh is an all world talent. But his between the ears is whats going to hurt him the most.

Yeah, he was a young dumb angry player. But… that's what those guys do.

Historically speaking. Generally players like Suh learn how to control themselves and have fantastic careers. Usually because of a coach who was a positive influence. A recent example would be Singletary with Vernon Davis. Now, Singletary was not a good head coach. However, he was a positive role model for a young immature player like Davis.

I think you're really overestimating how many times Suh's gotten flagged for late hits. It's just that the ones he has have been headline news. It's not like he has that much more than everyone else in football.

Also, just curious. Do you know Suh personally? You say that stuff about him a tad too confidentially. It only takes a few tweaks with a player to get him under control. He's a hell of a talent, and clearly is passionate about the game.

Anger doesn't equal a lack of intelligence. Guy just needs to learn some self control. I've seen nothing to suggest that he's dumb. Just has a hard time controlling his emotions. That is correctable with good leadership.

guys that cant control themselves are typically not bright. you can pontificate all you want about other players. I'm saying he has had too many instances where other players have called him out about behavior. your opinion versus mine. i dont like him, and dont want him. preach to another choir.

Fair enough. I would just argue that this point in bold isn't an opinion. It's just wrong.

It's actually a fact that many geniuses, great thinkers, and brilliant artists have dealt with extreme emotional/anger issues. Not to mention, killed themselves by the way of substance abuse (AKA lack of self control).

You're welcome to have your opinion about him. However, I don't think that I'm an ass for pointing out flawed logic or reasoning.

In some off-season reports about Suh, players were praising how he's matured.

:agree:

Peter... I'm impressed with your use of the word: Pontificate. Thumbs up.
I like words.
Your words are beautiful, quite elegant prose my friend.
We should start a drinking game in which an internet poster uses words instead of grunts. (and stupid notions like Suh just needs a vet near him)

Well after the draft, I am officially excited for Bears Football. PLUS I found an old Bears shirt that I had been looking for all last year and could never find. It was a good weekend. Go Bears! Thinking about making the trip out to see the Bears play the Dolphins in October after watching the Huskers destroy Northwestern on Saturday
