Dropped the rubber game 6-4 in 10 innings. Honestly feel fortunate to not have gotten swept. IMO Rice outplayed us every game.

Yeah but we really battled and competed. I think it showed that we can certainly compete with a solid team. We were a run away from taking the series. Like Snow said, we demonstrated that we can play good baseball being down and showing we can come back. They're the better team, but I like our poise and effort. I think we have the potential to play for the top half of the Pac.

The cats begin a 2 game series with Oakland on Tuesday. Oakland has played a brutal schedule so far getting swept by FSU and USC. We need to do the same.

After that we head to Mississippi St. Who probably has the best home field crowd in the nation. They routinely average 10,000+ every home game. That will be a really tough series.

Arizona is 15-4 heading into conference play. At the same time last year we were 10-9. Our first two series are against fairly weak teams in Utah and Stanford. Would like to sweep those series out of the gate.

Finally creeping up in the rankings. I was surprised at Stanford too. A couple years ago they did have former #1 pick Mark Appel.

I know we're in March Madness mode but UA baseball is live on p12 networks right now hosting #18 oregon. Up 4-1 in the 6th right now.

I know CTP and I have been watching but the rest of you should really pay attention to our baseball squad this year. We lead the nation in many offensive categories and Scott Kingery leads the nation in hitting while Kevin Newman is 10th. We are really fun to watch this year. We finally entered the rankings this week.
