But that doesn't ensure you getting Murray, if that's who you covet(and rightfully so). I'd have to counter his 2nd deal.

Just so I have a better understanding, who are the players that will potentially be there in the 1st round? And have you looked at others' rosters to determine their possible needs? Bc others may be targeting RBs early also.

Yes I have looked at the other rosters and I have done a mock and this is what I see happening:
1. McCoy(First three are honestly interchangeable)
2. Charles
3. AP
4. Lacy - I think Forte will score more but the guy in front of me is a Packer homer
5. Forte - My pick
6. Megatron - This guy has Bell and Stacy so Im almsot positive he goes WR
7. Lynch - My pick unless I trade him
8. Manning
9. Martin - Here is where I worry about Murray possibly going
10. Foster
11. Murray
12. Graham

For what its worth here is the 2nd round I mocked:

The trade would change a little but his best RB is Tate so he might be forced to take Lynch or jump for Foster.

with #5 and #7 Im getting one either Lacy/Forte and I have a ton of flexibility at #7.

I would do the trade for Bell, but not the one where you give up Cruz + the premium pick. Maybe you can counter with Cruz + your second for his 2.10 and his third rounder?

As for keeping too many guys, here is how you figure that out. Say you are thinking about keeping 12 guys. If Pierre Thomas is number 12, then you would need to give up a 9th round pick to keep him. Unless you think you can get a better value than Pierre Thomas in round 9 (I do not think you can) then you should keep him.

If you get to the point where your last keeper is worse than or even equal to the expected value of the player you would select in that round, then you toss him back. Don't worry about keeping too many guys though. That is a good problem to have as long as they all give you a positive value. It sounds like you will have great RB and WR depth already.

There is also one more minor benefit to keeping a lot of players. Since your draft will end before the other teams, you will also get a high end kicker by using your last round pick (not that it really matters that much).

Cruz plus your 3rd for 2.01. With that pick, you could take either a stud WR or the best available QB.

I dont have a third. My draft is 5,7, 41, 47, 53, 61 71, Kicker, IDP, IDP, T. Williams, Seattle Def., Patterson, Jennings, J. Thomas, Garcon, Nelson, Ball, Newton.

With the one missing roster spot is either Cruz(If I dont make the deal), Pierre Thomas or a draft pick.

I've considered doing that. I am just exploring all options to maximize my value since I want Murray and he likely wont go until #10

Oh I was under the impression he pulled that initial offer. If he hasn't you HAVE to accept that original offer now before he wises up.

I like the new draft pick trade because I think you can still get either Murray or Lynch at that spot (probably Murray). I would rather have 2.10 than Cruz any day of the week.
