--It's almost impossible to track the uniqueness of this, but . . . starting offensive tackles Joe Staley and Anthony Davis were not penalized for holding the entire season.

I agree. I think the pressure up the middle is what got to Smith more than from the outside.

Agreed! Plus both our tackles are very good in the running game. Davis is relentless with his run blocking.

the line is much improved from the first part of the season. i think if we move davis inside and go with boone at tackle that we could have the makings of an excellent line. gore would be able to run on the ride side all day

Boone is still a little raw, but I would have no problem giving that a shot in next season's TC...

i don't think he lived up to being a 1st rounder. he's been steady but he blew a lot of plays in pass protection with holding calls or missed blocks. the whole line was completely whiffing on blocks tho.

I felt he was a little better than his rookie year. Still has room to grow in pass protection.

He seemed to struggle in pass pro - Calias Campbell (AZ) just owned Mike this year; he did not play well against Baltimore as well. Run was better.
