Couldn't run block today either, aside from two runs. Goodwin is completely and utterly useless now, and as the pivot point of the OL, it's trickling down. This isn't last year's OL, let's get that straight.

Iupati has not been very good this year. He has seemed to regress although maybe its in part to being dinged up every freaking week?

Anthony Davis I have seen get burned a lot this year too. He looked like he was really progressing last year. I dont know if getting the new contract has an effect on this or what.

Goodwin has always sucked and just sucks a little more this year

This. I've been clamouring for a new center since 2011. Goodwin is terrible. But the fact that Snyder was the first off the bench isn't encouraging. Maybe Kiilgore has been practicing solely at center.

Too be honest I don't think Kilgore is the answer. We might have to draft a center in Rd 2 and hope he pans out or sign a FA center. I watch each game twice and when I watch it the 2nd time with out the emotions of a live game u can see Goodwin getting killed almost every other play. He is an ok run blocker still except on short yardage. His pass protection is really bad and always needs help.

Mediocre at best. Seem to be fooled by the simplest of pass rush stunts.

Neither do I. And I'm even less optimistic about Looney.

I actually would've liked it if the Niners traded to get David Baas back before the trade deadline.

Don't know how I'd replace him at this point. Luckily the OL class this year is really strong; I hope there are a few good centers.

I agree with everyone that the line looks bad but Kaep also seems to have no clock whatsoever. Smith used to frustrate the hell out of me with his horrid pocket presence and Kaep is pulling the same things. Since he has seemingly taken away the threat of taking off he gets caught in the most infuriating, you can't possibly take a sack here no matter what moments like clockwork.
