Steelers tight end Heath Miller retires

Heath Miller is finished.

He was probably going to have to move on anyway given his cap number, but this makes it official. This is good financially for Pittsburgh, but he was a dependable dude so he'll be missed.

I should also mention that I have Heath Miller as the second best tight end in the AFC-N over the past decade.... He's second to Dennis Pitta.

What about Reggie Kelly?

He's the rock.... The spiritual leader and foundation of a ball club...... An inspiring club full of underachievers, punks, and guys that were happy to be .500. He'll be in Hobs Bengal HOF.

Ravens, Flacco’s agent likely to meet this weekend on revised deal

This makes me happy..... The Ravens put themselves in jail with the Flacco deal after their SuperBowl win. Truth be told, I'm thinking most people would rather have Dalton than Flacco at this point. And this deal will probably keep Baltimore from being relevant anytime soon.

I read today that the Ravens will be signing Trent Richardson. I was going to make a joke about it, but then I remembered that Jeremy Hill might be the next Richardson. Then I started crying.

Don't insult Richardson like that.

It's really nice to know that we were already aware that Jeremy Hill was terrible before watching his efforts this season. Can we just move on already?

Cornerback Adam Jones became a free agent in March when the Bengals opted against picking up his $5.5 million option for the 2018 season, but his market has been quiet due to the groin surgery he had shortly after the end of Cincinnati’s season.

According to Jones, things are starting to pick up. Jones said on SiriusXM NFL Radio that he’s recovered from the surgery and has been talking to teams about coming aboard.

“I had groin surgery the week after the Super Bowl,” Jones said. “I’m finally 100 percent from that, just got cleared by the doctors. Running full speed. Have been in contact with several teams, I expect it to pick up in the coming weeks.”

When the Bengals announced that they were passing on Jones’ option, they suggested he could be back with a reduced salary. It’s not clear if that remains an option, but Cincinnati and the rest of the teams in the league should have a better idea of remaining needs and wants after going through OTAs over the next month.

now, every time he gets arrested, they will say "former Cincinnati Bengal, PacMan Jones Punched an old woman at a bar today, spit on a nurse, and attempted to assault 3 police officers as he yelled, 'I'm PacMan Jones, bitch!'"

Bengals defensive end Carlos Dunlap is willing to lose $300,000, so he must be hoping for an even bigger payday.

According to Jim Owczarski of the Cincinnati Enquirer, Dunlap has continued his absence from Bengals workouts this offseason, by not volunteering for the first day of voluntary OTAs.

The 29-year-old Dunlap is entering the final year of the six-year, $40.6 million extension he signed in 2013, and he’s due to make $7 million this year.

There has been some discussion about an extension for Dunlap as well as Geno Atkins this offseason, but nothing has happened so far.

Dunlap didn’t attend the earlier workouts, forfeiting a $300,000 workout bonus he could have earned with regular attendance. But that’s a decision he’s making, and we’ll find out when the Bengals hold a mandatory minicamp in mid-June (when he can be fined for an absence) how strongly he feels about working out on his own.

Interesting about Dunlap. He's been a pretty good locker room guy and off the field guy over his last 5 years or so. I think I remember him being critical of Marvin Lewis when the reports came out before the Minny game. I wonder if he's pissy about Lewis being retained.
