While I agreed with you that RGIII should be played much like SF and Seattle plays their QB. This would be the reason that makes it impossible to do so.

Lets say you are spot on..... the season starts in 14 days. You really think we can replace 60% of the line in 14 days and improve?? My bet would be, we replace all three, RG3 gets murdered by week five.

We will not excel with a sucky line. If something happens to Lauvao or Trent we are looking at 6 wins.
We will have to move RG3 around to save his butt with these clowns, or he will get murdered.

This is true, but I think its silly when people are saying we needed to replace 80% of the line from jump. Could you have done it? Sure. Does it guarantee we would be any better?? reality is, had we done it the line would probably still look just as bad if not worse.

There also wasn't the talent available to us to replace 60% of our line even if we wanted to. Hopefully Long and Moses pan out. We might see Long this year and if we are lucky, Moses next year. We seriously need a center that can hold his own. This will be a priority in FA next year.

oh geez shark did we need 70 ilbs ? did we need to keep the PUP convention ?

look its done , they are stopgap ping the o/line i wont bust them up too much

but that o/line needs help we fixed

half of the LOS in one off season (defense) , next year we can finish the other

What I think (not that it matters) is the Redskins have done a very poor job of adding talent to the offensive line. This includes adding Polumbus a couple of seasons ago, drafting the likes of Gettis, Ribeye, Hurt etc...This also continues with drafting Moses (Poor mans Polumbus) and drafting Long with his injury history. I'm starting to think our talent evaluators suck as well. Our OL has huge issues. Throw on top of that a very shaky QB situation, a new offense and you have the recipe of disaster brewing yet again.

Didn't George Allen tout his love of this team, especially during the time of the Hogs? It seems to me that addressing this offensive line would have been a priority this past off-season. I am well aware of the Shanahan's desire to have smaller, speedier guys, but Gruden comes from Cincinnati wher they employed huge guys! Benefit of the doubt. ...it's absolutely possible that this is the last season for many of our current players. The risk, this year however, could be in sacrificing the QB.

I have been as critical of our OL as anyone. But I think too many have short term memory. Does anyone remember the cap penalty we muddled through for 2 years, severely limiting our ability to get any free agents of any quality? Or how about the fact that we didn't have any 1st round picks the last couple of years? My point is that while it seems we have ignored the OL, we haven't really had any resources to address it other than lower draft picks. I do agree that we have done a poor job of evaluating draft talent when it comes to OL and even a poorer job of developing any talent we brought in.

i wont get mad at the fornt office for the way the o/line is . the cap penalty hurt so what do you do ? you draft guys late

we may have to stop gap chester and polumbus (even stiger ) till we can address it or long and moses can move up .

next year we have a full draft and 2 young guys who could be ready already on the team so patience is key
