We needed that win. Im not a fan of Roberts and think he needs to be replaced because he adds nothing to this team but thank god for that Home run. Having Jeter and Roberts in the middle of the field is killing us. No range at all.

To be honest, with their pitching in the shape it's in, I'm absolutely stunned the Yankees took 2 out of 3 in Anaheim.

Nuno & Phelps were both surprisingly good and it was great to see nuno get to the 7th.

John Ryan Murphy been pretty good also. Cervelli might not get his backup C job back.

On to Milwaukee where we have tanaka, cc, and Phelps going. 2 of 3 is possible

Cervelli is much better both offensively and behind the plate. His problem is he can't stay healthy.

But yes a huge performance from Nuno last night, the Yankees needed that.

nope just the truth.

You mean opinion.. saying Jeter and Roberts gives them no range is downright silly. You make it out like they have the worst infield in the majors. c'mon man

Btw, anyone notice the majority of the crowd cheering and applauding when Jete hit his HR? For a second there I thought they were home in the Bronx.

They have no range. range wise Jeter is one of the worse in baseball. That is a fact. Roberts isn't much better at 2b. They do have one of the worst in the Majors. Now when the ball is hit to them they are fine.

New York Yankees' 2014 infield could be worst in franchise history - MLB - ESPN

Yankees' infield range 'the worst' but team still not going for Drew - CBSSports.com

The worst infield in baseball

Hope this helps. I can keep going.

Five weeks into the season and the Yankees have a top 5 fielding percent in the AL, and tied for 1st place. Not too shabby for the players we have. We'll have to agree to disagree on this one purguy. The infield isn't that bad IMO.
