Game Thread: Numbers Game - 1000 and 8; Flyers at CBJ 1/23

Tonight is the 1000th game in franchise history for the Columbus Blue Jackets. Jackets are also looking to continue their franchise record winning streak with their 8th in a row.

Some other numbers of note:
Jackets are now 8th in the league in scoring with 148 goals for
Sergei Bobrovsky is 8-0 since returning from injury and has a 1.47GAA and .948sv% in that time.
The Jackets had 9 different players register a point in the last game. 11 different in the game against Washington.

And the Flyers are coming in on the back of an unexpected back to back thanks to Winter Storm Anus.

Will we finally see Steve Mason in enemy colors in the arena he used to call home?

Matt Calvert missed morning skate after the blocked shot in the Kings game. He will play though.

Marian Gaborik skated on his own after practice, and will be looking for clearance from a doctor to resume workouts tomorrow.


Jack Skellington cleared to play, shipped to Springfield for conditioning. Cody Bass called up to take his spot in the press box.


Still no word on who is starting for Philly in net. Early rumour is that Mason is NOT.

Jackets came out hard and don't look like they are going to let the pressure up.

Shame they couldn't bury one or two on that rather weak 4 minute PP they got. Flyers are a STRONG penalty killing team.

Raybo is under siege though.
