That's why I have a lot of respect for the Police. They have to deal with so many just don't get it's. Sure they're some bad cops but I'm talking about the ones that are just trying to keep the peace.

I have a problem with all this trying to be fair business. As in life, there is no such thing.

Rules should always be used merely as guidelines, IMO and should never be hard fast.

Good judgement and common sense should always prevail with these things.

I believe in calling a spade a spade, that can't happen now.

Also I believe in respecting those entrusted to govern and police for the most part.

Bottom line, we are men and we need to act like it.

Sorry Vita. You have confused calling a spade a spade with assessing value judgments on people's perceptions and opinions when they don't even see the same spade. Using value judgment descriptors like "stupid", "ridiculous", references to penises and vaginas as value judgments on people not agreeing with someone's assertions using locker-room slang only serves to incite and inflame another poster to defend themselves when none of it is necessary. Common sense and good judgment should prevail but in the past two weeks, we have little of that. Since I can't edit posts, I have to eliminate them when people don't get what you are suggesting. And since several people don't have a friggin' clue, they will be gone because that is what has been directed to me. The old days as you knew them are pretty much gone if you want to post here.

I wonder could we start a permanent thread for say trash talk or trolls or arguments. Maybe a Bradford thread all things Bradford good and bad. Some where to vent or argue where only those with a problem could vent and let it all hang out. Might save some hurt feelings cause you wouldn't have to post there unless you wanted too. And keep some from being banned. It could be one part of the board too itself. Just a thought.

Well Ozark. That is a fine idea but what happens is people become bean counters and carry their little "let-it-all-hang-out" wars over onto other threads and they start up another little battle on some supposedly innocuous subject. That is what DK7000 did and that is what happened with the thread by Rambunctious- "Clemens a class act". After presenting DK7000 with the new rules, he goes back to a post with SJ76 a week or two ago and digs up an infraction to support his contention of a double standard. Demiurge did the same thing. The reason is that some people can not separate the two and if you try to be fair to everyone with people who cannot do that, it is literally like trying to gather up a herd of cats on a hot tin roof-Next to impossible. So will do this the Hammer way. Here's the rules. Abide by them or you are done.

Vita provided a simple example on this thread. He disagreed with what I responded with and instead of calling my response stupid, ridiculous, idiotic, or I am pussy or I must be on my period or some other in your face derogatory language, he just stated, "Nope, I just disagree". Simple, direct, and to the point. That is one way how to get your point across without baiting people and starting a grudge match. Capeeche?

Well ozarkram and with all due respect retroram there is a place. It's just not on these Rams boards it's in the Penalty Box boards. Anyone of us can start a thread there on whatever subject you want.

I don't think this board will die. Maybe I was being a tad dramatic. But I do know that when I first came here this board was starving for posters. And there are many, many Rams sites out there. I chose to post here. And am not so casual about losing members. If you haven't noticed I have done my best to support you Retro. While I don't agree with everything or everyone who does. I personally don't need to fight to get my point across I hope anyway.

See, I just don't get it. Most if not all of us regulars are Rams fans. We may disagree with Bradford or not, whether Austin should be the #8 pick, should the Rams draft a QB or not next year, but the fact is, we all want the Rams to succeed in the near future if not sooner. Let us just get away from negatives and just throw the positive out there. Some will say there isn't any, but I say there always is if you want to find it. For the record, I haven't seen anything that really upset me, I know Hammer and retro are trying to keep it clean but in all conversations, sports, politics or faith, I like hearing but sides, where I do agree with retro and hammer, is in the civil tongue and not the bar room speak.
