With the 18th pick in the 2nd round the Miami Dolphins are proud to select: Chris Borland ILB Wisconsin

This pick will allow the Fins to move Ellerbe to the outside and give them more of a run stuffer inside. Lot's of flexibility!

You sure? I dont wanna jump the gun!

It cost us 10 whole minutes to get an official turn down of a trade offer that was made (re-made) when the other party wasn't online. :noidea:

I'm sorry guys I just wasn't 100% sure if I wanted to do the deal it really depended on who was taken beforehand. My other guy was taken and I'd be reaching for another.

Thanks I was really concerned as there is a huge drop off between him and the next ILB. This would give the Fins a lot of flexibility on its defensive packages. I'd be excited!

Nobody is upset. Well...besides Nos because I made him write the Redskins pick twice.

Who was your other pick that you were looking at trading up for?

Also definitely a good pick with Boreland. Plays with a lot of heart. Needs some major work in the coverage department but you can cover some of his weaknesses up with the 3-4 defense.

I was going to suggest you pick Borland for the Bills when I thought you were going to take them over as GM.

Yeah that is who I would have picked. Kiko Alonso is great in coverage so they could have Boreland focused towards the run game and Alonso towards the pass game. Would have been a deadly combo.

Dang it Nos I was really holding out hope that Van Noy would fall to the Broncos. The guy is my favorite player in this draft and can do just about anything you ask of him. Why he isn't getting some 1st round consideration is beyond me.
