So, what to do with my last pick??

Back up QB?
Seahawk special (DL to convert to OL)?
Something just random (cause I'm not getting it right anyway)?

So, now two teams have sacrificed multiple picks over multiple years to attempt to get a QB - who now won't have anyone to play with because they traded away all their picks.

Yup this is what doesn't make sense at all to me. You have pretty much set these 2 players up for failure at this point. Throw in for the Eagles when they already paid 2 QB's huge money this off season to then trade away draft capital to get a QB. I mean do they think this is baseball where you need a rotation? I understand the idea of letting them sit a year which I am totally fine with especially for Wentz but man this really just doesn't make much sense. St. Louis/LA I understand a little more because they had nothing at the QB position before the trade. Throw in I do think they have a ton of great players throughout the roster and are a QB away from being a very competitive team.

Its bizarre considering that we live in the same universe where the RG3 trade happened and a team just won the Super Bowl with a top defense and a gimpy QB

I think they're both awful trades. Giving up that much can ruin you (trust me I know lol). But the real problem is I don't think these qbs are very good. If you're gonna make a trade like this at least do it for a better prospect. That said - I'm happy cuz screw the Eagles.

Bingo!

I love that the Redskins might be moving down. Not much difference in players available at 21 and 41.

I hope Lynch is available when Skins pick at #21 so we have many teams offering us picks. I agree that their is a lot of talent in this draft from 21-41 and especially on the D-Line where its a need for our Redskins. More picks equals more chances of landing a good players.

TAMPA BAY BUCCANEERS

Key Returners:

Offense - Jameis Winston, Doug Martin, Mike Evans, Vincent Jackson, Austin Seferian-Jenkins, Donavon Smith
Defense - Lavonte Davis, Gerald McCoy, Bradley McDougald

Free agent signings:
OG J.R. Sweezy, CB Brent Grimes, DE Robert Ayers, CB Josh Robinson, S Keith Tandy, LB Daryl Smith

Picks:
1.9.9 : Ronnie Stanley - OT - Notre Dame
2.8.40 : Cody Whitehair - OG - Kansas St.
3.11.75 : James Cowser - DE - Southern Utah
4.10.110 : Tajae Sharpe - WR - Massachusetts
5.9.150 : Kalan Reed - CB - Southern Mississippi
6.8.187 : Moritz Boehringer - TE/WR - Germany
6.22.201 : Ross Martin - K - Duke

It's pretty clear all our money is on Winston, so with the moves that were made in the offseason I had 3 targets... Select players who can contribute day one, select players that will help Winston reach full potential and/or select players who could be a home run with some hard work and good coaching...

Ronnie Stanley (OT - Notre Dame) - At #9 I had 3 targets that all went before I was OTC so I went BPA... He's the rated #2 OT in the draft and though we selected Donovan Smith last year, the analysis on Smith was he is more suited for RT or Guard... Either way we give Winston help in his protection and that was the most important point when deciding on Stanley...

Cody Whitehair (OL - K. State) - I only had 1 target with this pick and Dallas stole him... So I again went with a possible first day starter... Logan Mankins retirement pushed us to sign in J.R. Sweezy, however Cody will fight for a spot... Analysis on Whitehair is he can play any of the 5 spots on the oline... He'll be fighting for the starting Center or Guard position day one...

James Cowser (DE - S. Utah) - With this selection I decided to address our pass rushing... Cowser isn't a sexy pick either, however he broke Jared Allen's records for sacks (42.5) and tackle for loss (80)... The possibility that he could be better than Jared Allen is something I welcomed, and the best part is we can start him off slow as a 3rd down pass rusher to begin his career... With his work ethic, drive and background I feel he can be a homerun...

Tajae Sharpe (WR - UMass) - His 111 receptions for over 1300 yards speaks for his ability, what's more impressive is 3 drops on 177 targets this year... His quickness, route running and catching ability makes him a great fit at the slot and with Mike Evans and Vincent Jackson on the outside, Sharpe and Seferian-Jenkins will be very dangerous underneath...

Kalan Reed (CB - S.Miss) - A project in the 5th, but at 5'11" 199 pounds with a 4.38 forty time I think he's worth the look... He graded out 3rd in class, 20.2% of targets his way were deflected or picked which one of the best rates in the nation... Plays well in both man and zone, he could be a Nickle starter or better by the start of the season...

Moritz Boehringer (WR/TE - Germany) - At 6'4" 227 pounds he runs a 4.45 (one coach clocked him at 4.38)... Adding a couple pounds could put him at tight end or he can stay at WR... Regardless of where he plays he's got a chance to be special... He will have some work to do but adding him to what we've been able to bring in from both the draft and free agency in 3 years this team could be a Super Bowl contender... He's a freak athlete that needs some coaching, but what he has now can't be coached...

Ross Martin (Kicker - Duke) - With my final selection Aguayo was snatched right before I was up so I went with a long distance specialist... Martin is graded #1 in this draft class at +4.5... Last year he was 4/4 in 50+ yard attempts and 8/10 from 50+ yards for his career... He also hit a 60 yarder in the senior bowl... Even though we didn't need a kicker, I couldn't pass up a chance to get such a strong leg...

In all I think we've set this team up for long term success... Took a chance on a couple of guys who could prove to be game changers, and grabbed some guys who should be successful in this league for a long time... All our homerun picks are already on the roster...

Grade = A

I'm headin' down to the cave to watch "The Last Witch Hunter" on my big screen. There are about 20 picks before me so most likely I'll be checking in tomorrow morning.
