yup, he seems to be a good guy. awesome defensive player. Always like him too.
It was fun watching him pitch a couple innings for the yankees last season.

Chapman makes bullpen stronger but by how much really? In 2015 Yankees were 66-3 leading after 6 inn, 73-2 after 7 inn, 81-0 after 8 inn.

Yeah I don't really get this move from a Yankee perspective but bullpen performance can be up and down from year to year.

Benn watching a lot of the series 'Baseball' on MLB. A lot of interesting stuff back in the teens and twenties.

1- Ty Cobb's dad was killed by his mom with a shotgun when he snuck into his wife's bedroom window because he thought she was cheating in her.

1A- Cobb was hated by everyone including his teammates. An African American bat boy (a grown man) tried to shake his hand and Cobb chased him into the dugout punching him. When the man's wife tried to help, Cobb choked her. His teammates had to separate them and he attacked his teammates. He was paranoid thinking everyone was out to get him so he slept with a gun under his pillow.

2- Christy Mathewson, one the greatest pitchers of his time, came back from WW1 and couldn't pitch because his health went bad from being gassed in France during the war. He died at 45 from it.

3- Branch Rickey GM of the Cardinals couldn't keep up with the big spenders of baseball so he developed a new strategy by signing many players to contracts and making up teams to play in different areas starting the minor league system. He ended up winning 3 championships in 5 years. The commissioner twice released 70 players from Cards minor league teams because of fear he would ruin minor league leagues around the country. He lost and rest of baseball developed the system.

4- Satchel Paige was a maniac driver and his teammates refused to ride with him. He would do 85 mph going through towns.

5- Something not in the show but I read about because of the show was that they now believe Lou Gehrig didn't die of ALS (Lou Gehrig's disease), but more likely from brain injuries from being hit in the head by pitches. He, two football players, and a boxer all from that era that died were said to have died from ALS but more likely brain injuries which is the same disease that football players are known to be dying from now. Not a new disease apparently.

That's it. Just some things I found interesting.
